The suites are private, yet the kitchen and living space is shared. Like a European hostel, you can meet other travelers or retreat to your private room for relaxation.

Leave your vehicle behind for the convenience of exploring on-foot or take a short walk to any of the shuttle or trolley pick up spots! This location is steps away from the delicious restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and parks that Friday Harbor offers.

The Blue Water Inn and Suites has an open and spacious shared common area with a full kitchen, spacious shared living room, work desk and two Smart TV's. Or, you can relax and watch a movie in your private room with two queen beds and a 3/4 bathroom (shower, no tub.)

* Note: This room is an interior room with no windows. It does have an A/C unit *

This is the perfect spot for a solo traveler, couples or a group trip to San Juan Island. Rent a single room or multiple rooms for your experience on San Juan Island.

The add doesn’t really show the living/kitchen area is a shared space. It is like a converted commercial building with a communal area and several hotel style rooms. When we arrived, there were two naked guys in the beds, which was surprising. They claimed they had been staying in the room the previous two days. They obviously had the code. On the plus side, someone actually answered the phone at the property mgmt company but they were not sure how to resolve it. I think the rooms are owned by different companies. An hour later they called saying they would move the guys two another room and send out a cleaner but as it was already late on a Friday we had to book the last room available at a hotel in Friday harbor for much more money. Which sucked. The property mgmt said we would need to call vrbo to get a refund so that was an hour on hold to find out no, the property mgmt. was actually able to cancel and refund.

Friday harbor

Overall it was very comfortable. It would have been nice with a window, air conditioning, or a way to have air flow. Very stuffy and the box fan did nothing to help.
