I was very disappointed in the customer service at this hotel. We had a medical emergency come up and was unable to make our stay, My booking was non refundable, totally my mistake and I understand that. I reached out to Expedia to see if the hotel would offer any consideration due to the circumstances. Expedia was fabulous with trying to help. The hotel would not respond to Expedia’s request, I contacted hotel directly the night before our stay, the morning and afternoon we were supposed to check in, was told the manager is who I needed to speak with and that she was not there, they were not authorized to cancel or make any changes and she would return my call. The manager never did return my call, I called a fourth time on Monday and finally spoke with her, I was told absolutely no exceptions, which is fine it’s my fault I booked it that way, but the communication and willingness to help was very disappointing. They listed us as a no show for our reservation and charged a two night stay as a three night, the receipt did not add up and no explanation for the total. Expedia continued to try and help but the hotel would still not respond to Expedia, I’ve received an email from Expedia saying the property has still failed to connect with them after 3 days. I’ve stayed here before and been very happy in the past but this whole experience was not a good one, very disappointed in the communication with this property and lack of consideration due to unexpected events.
