OMGOODNESS!! Look no further. This was a great cottage. It was so clean, well maintained, so comfortable, and I can go on and on. My husband was so impressed. All the switches were labeled so you didn't have to guess which switch turned on which light. That was a huge plus to me. The cottage is also close to the downtown Fredericksburg. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We saw deer walking around and jumping. Our pet loved this place. We rented this cottage so we could attend a wedding at Camp Hideaway (which was only 4 miles away). We actually thought about skipping the wedding to keep enjoying the front porch. We almost arrived late to the wedding. Ha Ha Ha The only regret I have was that I wish we could have stayed longer, but our life schedule wouldn't have permitted.

Well maintained property with beautiful views

The property was clean and well stocked. Great location with beautiful views. The host even supplied dog treats, toys, beds and bowls. We especially enjoyed mornings on the back patio and evenings on the front porch watching the deer. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

Great little hideaway for two, just 5 min from Luckenbach and a handful of wineries. Loved sitting on the patio overlooking The Valley for morning coffees and evening wines. Only annoyance was the fact that you have to go into Fredericksburg to pick up the key and again to drop it off. Seems like a realtor-style lockbox at the property would do the job just fine!

Weekend getaway

My husband and I wanted a weekend away to relax and spend time together. The property was just what we needed. Seeing the deer and hummingbirds feeding were nice but we also got to see a doe with her two brand new fawns. So special! The local winery visit and the Nimitz museum added to our wonderful visit. Thank you!

Fantastic View!

Everything was perfect for this short getaway. We were especially wowed by the view from the front porch. Welcome basket for humans included a bottle of wine from Becker Vineyards and even our furry friends had a welcome basket!! We will want to stay here again! Thank you!

Perfect getaway

This cottage is in a perfect place - you can see the lights of Fredericksburg at night and deer during the day. It is cozy with a well stocked kitchen. Cutely decorated for Valentine's Day while we were there! Lots of extra's that made our stay perfect!

Perfectly Perfect!

The goal was for my girlfriend and I to get away for a couple days, see some family, enjoy some sights and ultimately unplug from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This place perfectly fit the bill! It was close enough to town, yet far enough out to have peace, quiet and see the amazing stars. Oh and the view across the valley was incredible. The accommodations were on point! It was tastefully decorated, extremely well stocked and a very comfortable space in every way. If I had one complaint, it would be that I had to drive into town to get the key after a 5 hour drive and drive back into town before a 5 hour drive return it. It's only about 15 minutes each way to get the key, so a minor inconvenience. My only regret is that I had to leave this amazing place and come back home. My huge family has lived in the area for 100 years so I visit often and have stayed in many cabins/homes. This one is hands down my new favorite! I highly recommend and will be back soon!

I wanted a quiet get away with my husband and this was beyond perfect, the cabin was very clean, well kept. The experience was wonderful, the view was amazing and more than what I expected. It wasn't far from downtown and it was easy to access everything. We loved it and would love to come back.

We had a very wonderful, quiet and peaceful time. It was extremely pleasant to get to sleep in.

The property was very clean, quiet and extremely peaceful and a great place to go to relax. If you travel with a dog, the host make your pet feel just as welcome and important as you. Loved sitting on the porch watching the family of deer graze and the butterflies then at light watching the field light up with the show that the lighting bugs put on. We for sure have this place at the top of the list for the next time we come into town. Highly recommend it!

Love Deer Ridge Cottage!

Deer Ridge Cottage is everything promised & more! The cottage is absolutely charming and in a quiet location with lots of wildlife. We saw deer everyday and the views from the front porch were beautiful. Downtown Fredericksburg is a quick drive and when staying in Deer Ridge you're already more than 1/2 way to the wineries. The cottage is well stocked and has a lot of thoughtful touches such as dog toys, snacks, wine, bathrobes, etc. We loved Deer Ridge and are looking forward to our next trip. Deer Ridge will definitely be the place we will stay in the future!
