"Elk Street Retreat was everything it was advertised to be.. The house was fantastic: kitchen was well apportioned - maybe the best of all the VRBOs we've stayed at over the past 5 - 6 years. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of bath towels and bath accessories. We were one block away from the main part of town - but you'd never know it when hanging out on the deck or back yard..We especially liked the multiple times a day visit from an adorable white cat we nicknamed Frankie. "Beautiful private lot with a great yard and plenty of parking. Kitchen was stocked well and the bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and laid out well. We enjoyed seeing wildlife in the backyard ( a beaver and bunny visited). Was a great experience. "

"I just needed a place to get away, and this spot was absolutely perfect. The cabin is beautiful, the street is incredibly quiet, and the firepit was a great bonus. I couldn’t have asked for anything more—such a great place!"

"Enjoyed the house but was never sent the email with the key code. Was over 2 hours after 4:00 trying to get in. Finally got a phone number to the host who was very nice to help us. Very frustrating having Togo though all of that."

"If you want to escape the stress and hustle of city life or looking for a romantic getaway just as we did this place is perfect. The location is beautiful, you have warm cozy log cabins with a view of the forest valley, a hot tub, a fire pit and every essential element you would want. Place was clean, organised and the host was great and responsive, directly answered our questions and concerns. I would definitely visit again next time in winter season though."

"Nicest private home we have ever stayed in. Tastefully restored elegant Victorian home with all modern amenities. Historical connection to the region helps make it even more special. Private large garden and patio area is lovely. We only used three of the six bedrooms most which have very comfortable king sized beds. Great place for larger groups to stay and relax."

"Just what we were looking for. Peaceful and beautiful backdrop. The river was magnificent and seeing river otters and a beaver along with the deer made our trip that much more memorable "

"Awesome location. Got to kayak the river and end the trip right at the house. Didn’t have to go pick up boats at another location. "

"Beautiful remodel of this building, it has all the high end amenity's of a luxury home in a small package, and if you forget to bring anything ; don't worry it's there at lil tio Their are plenty of things to do and places to eat, We stayed at lil tio for a family reunion and had a great time"

"My wife and I had an amazing weekend anniversary trip at this cottage. No-nonsense, fenced rear dog yard, cool AC, clean sheets, abundant blankets and towels, great water pressure, great location near lots of hiking and a short trip to Franklin/Oil City/Slippery Rock, and a very warm welcome from an amazing host. What more could you ask for? We would happily stay again!"

"The place was beautiful, clean and peaceful. My only suggestions would be to upgrade at least one bed to a queen for larger people. My stepdad is 6' "3" and had a bit of a hard time fitting in the bed. And some larger furniture in the sitting room. It really was a great place though and I will recommend it and may stay again myself if we go back to the area."
