Maison 1810: The Charm of Old Stone

  • Located 17 km west of Arras, this charming cottage offers you a natural, authentic and rejuvenating stay.
    Quiet environment, spacious bedrooms, large living room, wood stove and equipped kitchen allow warm reunions with family or friends.
    The house has all the comfort necessary for a pleasant stay (new bedding, modern bathrooms, sheets and towels provided). The original materials give it a singular soul that will not leave you indifferent.

    The house is spacious and bright. It is located in a peaceful village in the Pas de Calais, on the edge of the woods.
    The equipped kitchen allows you to cook as if you were at home, in a friendly atmosphere. TV, fibre Internet, office space to work comfortably. The wood stove will warm up your winter evenings (wood provided). The terrace, adjoining the kitchen, allows you to enjoy the sun all day long.
    The bedrooms are equipped with queen size double beds (160x200) and a water point for three of them. Baby cot available on request.
    In front of the house: the village bakery where you can discover sourdough bread baked over a wood fire.
    Comfort and charm of old stones for an authentic stay!

    Travellers have access to the whole house, the terrace, and can enjoy the 1500 m² wooded and private land (with garden furniture, deckchairs, trampoline...). We provide a few bicycles to explore the surrounding countryside which lends itself to both walks and cycling (hiking trails at the gates of the cottage, cycle route of memory 5 km away).
    The village is located 17 km from Arras, 45 minutes from Amiens and 1 hour from Lille.

    We live in the village, 400m from the cottage, and will therefore be available if needed.
    Mélanie is a baker and her bakery is located opposite Maison 1810: you can see her working in the wood-fired oven every Thursday and Friday, and taste her delicious sourdough breads.

    Two charging stations for electric vehicles will be installed at the end of June 2024.

    Parties not allowed.

    Local shops 5 km away: supermarket, pharmacy, post office, bank, bar-tabac, restaurants...

    Possible activities:
    - hiking, mountain biking or cycle tourism
    - discovery of the castles
    - visit of Arras: the belfry, the Boves, the Wellington quarry, its terraces...
    - memorial tourism: ND de Lorette, Vimy 30 minutes away

Logement et hôte de qualité ! Tout s’est très bien passé de la prise de contact jusqu’à notre départ. Excellente parenthèse dans la verdure, logement idéal pour un groupe. On recommande vivement !

Nous avons passé un agréable week-end chez Mélanie. La maison est très bien équipée, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés Nous y retournerons aux beaux jours Merci encore pour l'accueil et les petites attentions de Mélanie

Honestly, there are no words to describe our family stay in this magical house. We spend our Christmas days at this beautiful Maison and we will never forget it. The house is quite big and equipped with everything you need. We did a lot of cooking in the kitchen and it was perfect. You have everything you need.The outside area was big and very beautiful! So relaxing. My family and I said we would come again and enjoy a nice barbecue

Merveilleux

Le gîte de Mélanie où il fait bon vivre. C'est un gîte merveilleux, décoré avec goût que ce soit les pièces à vivre en bas ou les chambres, toutes plus jolies les unes que les autres, les lits tous en 160 sont très confortables. Tout est parfait, conforme au descriptif. Tout est très propre et la cuisine ne manque absolument de rien. absolument de rien. îte les yeux fermélepain,
