Charming Fort Ransom Getaway

Welcome to the Fort Ransom Getaway located at 120 Bluff Street. The quaint town of Fort Ransom is home to the Fort Ransom State Park, Fort Ransom Rodeo Grounds, and Thrill Hills Winter Recreation Area. Whether you’re looking to have a quiet get away near the Sheyenne River or have an event nearby, this quiet modernized home with rustic charm of yesteryear is ready for your next getaway. There are two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms situated on three levels with sleeping for 6. The master bedroom is located in the basement and hosts a king size bed with its own attached bathroom. The main floor hosts the kitchen, living, dining and a half bath. The living room sofa makes into a queen size bed. The upstairs has one bedroom with a queen size bed and a deluxe bathroom with a jetted tub and Keurig coffee maker. Outdoors boast two fabulous areas of enjoyment. Out front there is room for dining and relaxing and in the fenced back yard a fabulous fire pit with the Sheyenne River roaming below.

What an petfect place to stay. I cannot say enough about the clean, comfortable beds and living room furniture actually every room was beautifully designed & equipped. It was like coming home to your own little house on the prairie.

True vacation rental by owner

We have been staying in VRBO houses for more than 15 years and this house was one of the best. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-enough equipped to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Comfy chairs were abundant. Several outdoor areas were so inviting we almost hung in them in the rain. Nesting birds included warblers and orioles. One note--do NOT try to access the scenic overlook at fort ransom state park when the road is wet!!! We almost did not make it out; the park should put up a sign stating such.

We had a great time at this Charming Home in Fort Ransom. Wished we had more time at this house, but when there is a Wedding, you tend to just be there to sleep.Owners were prompt with answering questions.

Family rendezvous

We stayed here while visiting family nearby. Warm and inviting home with most of the amenities a traveler would need. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It's clear that this property is more than just a house, it's a well cared for family home. My only caveat for anyone considering renting this home is that the interior staircases have very steep risers that some may find challenging. We would gladly stay here again if we returned to the area.

Perfect spot in Fort Ransom

I stayed in Fort Ransom while working in LaMoure for a week. The house was perfect for me. It was perfectly clean with everything I needed. The internet worked very well. It was in a great spot just a short walk from the local bar and grill. The weather was beautiful and it was great to grill a steak and sit outdoors for dinner! I hope this house is available next time I visit the area!

Fun girls weekend

We had a great time sitting in the comfy chairs and visiting as well as going out to Thor’s bar checking out the Viking and going for a hike in the state park. The house was clean had everything we needed and was a really great location just a little hard to find Since it’s on a dead-end road.

Cozy and CLEAN!

Very sweet little house! It was very cozy and fully stocked. It was nice that the rooms had nice sheets and pillows as well. I really appreciated how clean the house was. It has great location. Very close to the ski hill and walking distance to down town. I definitely recommend.

The Golden Girls

Were are a group of four older friends who have been getting together for 25 years. This vrbo was perfect. Super clean and 2.5 bathrooms. One on each floor. Since we are older, the steps were a challenge, but well worth the spotlessly clean and well kept decor. Beautifully decorated with more than enough amenities for every need included. We will definitely try to return. Thank you, Naomi and Mike, for making this house feel like coming home:)

Loved this home. If I could live there for part of the year every year I would. It is perfectly appointed, personal touches make you feel at home and the home has some very wonderful antique architecture. If they sell it some day I would want to buy. Our family history runs deep in this town and what a delight it was to stay there. The hosts were remarkable.

Amazing!

Wonderful owners & very accommodating! Amazing house – everything inside was great; bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen etc.. The yard was great also, loved the fire pit, fenced-in back yard & chairs & table on the deck area. Very quiet neighborhood. A few steps away from a little footbridge that led to the town & little park. A perfect home away from home!!!

Great quiet getaway

We had a wonderful stay in the Ft Ransom home. It's just 2.5 miles from the State Park. We cooked most of our meals at the house. It had everything we needed to prepare and cook. The house is very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in the Ft. Ransom area.

Very nice house in every way. Met the owners and they are very nice people. The house had everything you could possibly need. Of course we were busy and maybe didn't utilize it all. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms, outside seating with usable firepits, white picket fenced yard over looking the river, etc. A home away from home. I highly recommend this home.

Perfect getaway!

Wonderful place located in small town close to unique restaurant and pub! Hosts were accommodating and have an immaculate home! Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and accessories to make the stay a home away from home. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and spacious! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Beautiful property in a great small town

We had a great time in Fort Ransom. Everything worked out really well. Nice scenic backyard over looking the river, great spot to have a fire! The house itself had great amenities and we really enjoyed it.

Felt like home; they thought of everything!

This is a beautifully updated and maintained home! The jetted tub was a favorite of the mom in our family, and the cozy beds ensured us all a good night's rest. It's just a short drive to Fort Ransom State Park, and the local restaurant The Lunchbox Eatery blew us away! Whether your looking to get out and about or spend your vacation inside this is the place to do it. It is a new favorite of ours!
