SERIOUS sanitation and maintenance concerns with this property (RODENT DROPPINGS) and terrible communication from the host!!! 🚩
First off, after booking it said the host would reach out 3 days prior to my stay with check-in details. I received no messages, so I contacted him the day of, and only then did he proceed to send me a rental agreement to ‘complete my booking.’ Why didn’t he send it when I made the reservation? And even after signing and informing him I signed, I had to follow up AGAIN to ask for the actual check-in instructions. The lack of proactivity from the host should have been my first red flag.
The check-in instructions I finally received included a code for a keypad. But there is no such keypad on the door. Where it should have been, there was just a hole…? I didn’t even notice this alarming detail until checking out, because upon arrival the property manager (who introduced himself as Jordan) was on-site and opened the door for me to let me in. He showed me around the apartment and we discovered together that the bedroom lights didn’t work. Even after resetting the breakers. I was willing to deal with this minor inconvenience, but after he left I realized it’s not just the bedroom lights. None of the outlets in the bedroom OR bathroom were functional. And it just got worse the more I inspected the property.
Most concerningly, I found apparent rodent droppings in multiple locations inside the accommodation, accompanied by a noticeable rodent-like odor
