  • Glass Beach is a beach in MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg, California, that is abundant in sea glass created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Once upon a time the sand was coated in brightly colored bits of sea glass, and social media is full of photos that make it look as if the sand still looks that way, but that isn't the case. Over the years the public has raided the beach of much of its glass. Now at first look, some might say it looks like any other ordinary beach. Yes you can still find glass here, but you have to look for it, and most of colored glass is long gone. It all makes for a fun little treasure hunt however! Best view!

From the Skunk Train to Glass Beach, you can see so much of the coastline of Fort Bragg from the top of this historic water tower. Be sure to go all the way to the top for the 360-view! Be ready for four flights of stairs, but it's totally worth it. The room on the top floor is cozy and quirky. We loved it.

Cute little place

Definitely paying for the view and the uniqueness. The one and only sink had no cold water so washing your hands was impossible without using scalding hot water. It's a cozy and comfy place but I was disappointed by the lack of upkeep that was evident and the musty odor wasn't pleasant.
