Homes in Florence is pleased to offer you this beautiful apartment for rent located in a historic building overlooking Piazza Santo Spirito, the beating heart of the Florentine Oltrarno. Santo Spirito Dream presents itself with the typical characteristics of the historic houses of Florence and with furnishings that are inspired by the Tuscan tradition.

The apartment consists of two double bedrooms, equipped kitchen, common areas and two full bathrooms with shower. The house has also a pleasant outdoor space.

I can’t say good enough things about Santo Spirito Dream! The property was perfect, comfortable, clean and embodied Florence charm. The location was convenient in a square of restaurants and walkable to anything you need. I’ll be coming back and staying here! The host was super communicative and accommodating - 10/10.

Girls trip

This was an amazing location and overall a good experience. It would have been perfect, but there was a very strong methane smell coming out of the master bath. It was so offensive that we had to shut that door and not use that bathroom our entire stay. I notified the property manager immediately and never received a response. We made do with sharing the small bathroom downstairs. There were five of us so it wasn’t convenient. I understand that there are issues that arise, my frustration with the situation is that no one from the property ever acknowledged my messages regarding the stink.

#1 Santo Spirito

Location location location! Literally right on the steps of the piazza Santo Spirito which is lively with restaurants and weekend market stalls yet removed from the chaos of the duomo area. Perfect! Most attractions are about a 15 minute walk over the river. Overall very happy with the apartment although not really any outdoor space to speak of. Bad owner made for bad experience

I would have liked to give this a great review, but after our experience, I couldn't. We had a major issue with one of the bathrooms reeking of a sewer problem, and the owner did not step up to fix it of accommodate us. The smell infiltrated the entire apartment. They sent a "handyman" down one day, he said he didn't find anything, and 30 minutes after he left the place reeked of sewer again. I informed the owner, who was just going to send the same person out again, and I told them they really needed a plumber or professional to come out and look at it. They declined, and instead said they were sorry that I had a "sensitive" nose. It was maybe the most insulting thing I've ever heard when traveling. I guess all four of us staying there had "sensitive" noses? I had to sleep with the windows wide open in the room, and the place didn't have screens, so I woke up to small welts all over me from the bug bites. So we checked out a day early and stayed at a hotel. I asked them for a partial refund, or at least to reimburse us for the hotel, but they declined. I will never rent from this owner again, and I don't recommend and you do it, either.

What a wonderful surprise! We were two couples, in Florence for a four day stop. This wonderful apartment had it all. Location-check, Equipped kitchen-check, sitting room-double check. The bonus was Jacobo, who owns the Pop cafe right outside the door. Concierge for us!!

Eclectic Apartment in a Great Neighborhood

This is a fantastic traditional apartment in a centuries old building. It was perfect for our family of 4 and a great launching point for our 4 days in Florence. The layout is spread out between 2 floors with a bedroom and bathroom on each floor. It sits on the side of a very active piazza with several highly rated restaurants and daily street market. It's far enough from the center of Florence to avoid tourist prices and yet easily walkable to the Duomo and other attractions. We will look to stay here again on our next trip to Florence.

Home away from home!

Wonderful! From the minute we got to the apt, we had a great time! The location couldn’t have been any better. The apt was well stocked with kitchen needs, the beds were comfortable, and they had everything you could need. washer/dryer, lovely living room where we could sit at the end of the day, and most of all, a wine store right around the corner. Well come back.

Spacious Historic Home

This was the most interesting and spacious home we stayed in while visiting Italy. The beds were comfortable; however, the pullout sofa was not. The host was great. Location was good. We walked everywhere, and there were a lot of restaurants pretty close.

Awesome location!

The location is perfect. Just off the beaten path but still in the heart of the action. Great restaurants and cafes on the square that the property sits. Even with a restaurant next door, it was quiet and relaxing. The building is old, so it’s a little funky but super fun!
