The Osprey Cabin is a legendary Montana house on 10 acres with frontage on the famous Bitterroot River. It is a spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath house with 3 queen beds and 2 twin beds. The large modern kitchen has all the essentials and the natural pine dining table seats 8 people. Sit in the comfortable living area with a real wood burning fireplace and enjoy the big screen TV. To really enjoy the true Montana experience, relax on the full length porch or the outdoor patios that overlook the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge. Cook your favorite meals on a premium outdoor grill and sit around the gas fired pit watching the flowing river and cascading Scarlet Mountains. Located in the Bitterroot valley just 20 minutes from Missoula, you have convenient access to 4 of the best trout fishing rivers in Montana. The Bitterroot, Blackfoot, Rock Creek and Clark Fork rivers offer the best blue ribbon trout fishing

The Osprey Cabin sits right in the middle of all the activities available in the Bitterroot Valley. Missoula has wonderful restaurants, great shopping and is famous for its many breweries. The small town of Stevensville, only 10 minutes away, has a fantastic main street that has many shops, cafes and restaurants. The famous Creamery Antique store is in Stevensville. A little further south is the popular town of Hamilton. Known for its small town heritage, it is a favorite destination for locals and travelers.

Other Activities
The Osprey Cabin is also in close proximity to many outdoor activities. Cycling and hiking in the vast natural preserves are local favorites. There are stables offering horseback riding on hundreds of trails. Snowmobiling is available about 30 minutes away, as well as a hot springs resort. Snow skiers have 2 resorts within 1 ½ hours. The great Montana outdoors offer a wealth of memories, and of course, you are right in the middle of the best trout fishing in America.

This was one of the best VRBO properties we have stayed in. It was extreemly clean and comfortable. Hosts provided extras like laundry detergent, hand soap, shampoo, sponges, bug spray, paper towels, and toilet paper. The setting and view from the backyard of this property is magical, truly beautiful beyond words. The sunrises and sunsets are stunning. The back porch set up for barbecuing or just relaxing with family is outstanding. Plenty of room and amenities in the kitchen....even a Crock Pot! We hope to return to this wonderful property again soon.

It was a beautiful stay, and I definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a peaceful spot in nature. We loved all the outdoor seating and deck fire pit. It was comfortable inside, too, but the gem was enjoying the property outside and getting to fish in the backyard.

Wow! What a beautiful place to spend a relaxing few days. We saw two bull moose, two bucks and two does who each had a set of spotted twin fawns. Wildlife everywhere you look - beavers, weasels, quail, fish, birds etc... wonderful and clean place. A nice propane fire option. Has everything you need on site. Terry is an amazing host. Thank you

Wonderful home on the Bitterroot River! We loved walking out of the back of the house and going straight to the river for fishing. The kids spent days exploring, swimming, fishing, and investigating. Very quiet neighborhood. House has everything you need, beautiful landscaping, and a great back deck. Highly recommend for a relaxing vacation!
