"Our room was clean, the breakfast area wasn't maintained as far as cleaning the tables for the next person and coffee was out. Breakfast was ok. They tried to charge me for a reservation I didn't make"

"The good: Love the ocean front room. The view is beautiful. The restaurant downstairs is convenient and decent. The not so good: The beach chairs and umbrellas are in a sad state, falling apart. They used to charge for them. They can't anymore, so they now charge $20 plus tax per day to park in their parking lot at the hotel. The design of the double room has the air conditioner blowing on the face of the person in the bed closest to the sliding glass door. The ice machine was down on our floor...

"Beach access was very easy & close. Room was clean besides the floor. Need to do a better job cleaning the floor before & after check in. No housekeeping offered until day 3 upon request."

"I liked the closeness to restaurants and the Bogue Inlet Pier. This was the main reason for the stay was for fishing. Only negative was the 1 hour delay to get in my room for check-in. The stated time was 3pm and I didn't get in until a little after 4pm."

"The room was comfortable. The lobby and hallways were clean. The gentleman at the counter the night we checked in, and the lady the following evening, were both SUPER helpful and friendly. The lady at the counter during checkout was less than friendly and seemed very put off by having to speak with me. Other than that specific instance, it was a pleasant experience overall. "

"Just got back from a 2 day stay and booked again for July. Staff was great and everything was very clean. Many restaurants to choose from in the area. Would definitely recommend."

"Beds and pillows are terrible. Bed mattresses need to be replaced. Sitting chair looks like it’s has been used for sex . Lots of stains it was gross. Refrigerator made terrible noise had to unplug it and not use it. Reported it and nothing was done , still in the same position I had left it in . Got poor sleep. Couldn’t change room because it was booked up."

"The road and the property were both extremely clean and comfortable. And the staff was absolutely the best. Everyone was very kind and friendly."

"Paper thin walls, plus we were put right by the elevator. So if peace and quiet is what you are looking for then this is not the spot. Staff were pleasant. We had to ask for more pillows. The beds are hard and they give you 2 flat pillows for each bed. We went out on the small balcony and there were 2-3 hornet/wasp nests out there so we couldn’t sit out there. "Everything was great until I pulled back the covers to get in the king size bed and found it was full of sand and very small dark curly hairs. Since I didn’t want to cause a fuss at 1 am with the security guard, who was the only staff available from 7 - 7, I pulled all the bedding off and slept in one of the twin beds instead. Definitely a one and done at the Atlantic Beach Resort for me. I would ask for a refund if I thought they would issue one."

"Hotel is a bit dated, breakfast was below average with very limited healthy options, but biggest issue was the noise. Lots of contractors staying here started leveling from 04:30 and then it was constant banging of doors till 07:00"
