"We only had a short stay but this place was the perfect weekend getaway with my wife and I. It had all the amenities of home but with the quiet seclusion we were looking for. Jim the owner was very accommodating and helpful with making our stay enjoyable. "

"Very nice property along the river. Only thing that I could possibly complain about is the bed in the single cabin uses to be a double when our family stayed before now it's more like a bunk bed not suitable for a couple and the pillows on it are so heavy you can't even pick them up. Maybe update the photos to all the new work done that looks so nice since we last stayed."

"We loved this house, so much character. The owner was so sweet and helpful. We cooked and ate our meals here (you can even do a grocery pickup at the Kroger which is not far away). We loved listening to the river, and truly just enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back!"

"This house was nicer than the photos! It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with implements to make a delicious surf and turf dinner. 1st floor bath had a wonderful shower and the queen beds were great. Host was very responsive and helpful. The view was breathtaking and the area had a lot to offer."

"House was advertised. Clean and more than sufficient size wise. We only overnighted there as we were passing through to South Carolina but we certainly enjoyed exploring the house and it’s history. "

"This was a great place to stay, especially with a pet! It was a perfect location for getting to New River Gorge National Park and traveling around. We did not spend a ton of time here, but the evenings were lovely! Highly recommend. "

"A beautiful brick house( 2 story with a basement) on a small hill as you drive up and see the American flag flying from the front porch looks just like home, very welcoming. The house was perfect for our stay( blended family and kids getting bigger) everyone had plenty of space, comfy couches/ recliners. All the linens and comfy blankets we needed were there. Everything we needed in the kitchen ( ice maker lol!!!) , washer and dryer, games to play, info on the area and things to do was...
