This was my first stay at a Hyatt Place, and the service didn’t meet expectations. We arrived at 1:30 p.m., fully aware that check-in wasn’t until 3 p.m., and simply hoped to pre-register so we could get lunch and return later to avoid a potential long check-in line. The front desk agent was inattentive and dismissive, more focused on her phone than assisting and told us we were not able to pre-register. When we returned at 5:20 p.m., a different front desk agent informed us that the top-floor room we had reserved was no longer available. Instead, they offered a lower-level room that still needed inspection, so we were asked to wait.
Noise was also an issue, with thin walls and little sound insulation. Safety concerns included doors that didn’t fully latch and a large gap under the hotel room door, letting in hallway light and noise.
The property has potential, but staff training and communication need improvement.
