"It's cozy, room was nothing too special but totally fine for 4 of us (we had the room with 5 twin beds). We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was pretty good and included. I had read another review where someone said they ran out of food by 8:30 (it's served 6-9) but there seemed to be a lot of guests when we stayed (parking lot completely full) and yet plenty of breakfast. I arrived to breakfast at 8:30, my wife and kids actually got there by 8:55 and the staff was kind and let them eat too. ...

"we loved our stay here. we checked in quite late. it was already pitch black by the time we arrived but we were able to check in with no difficulty. and we were able to see the northern lights! in the morning, we could see the snow-capped mountains in the distance. a truly beautiful location."

"This was up to now the best guesthouse we stayed at during our trip. Very clean. Rooms size are good. Breakfast was good and copious. The host was very nice and welcoming. We appreciated the opportunity to do laundry. Late check in was easy and well communicated before our arrival. We would definitely stay here again in a future trip. Hofn is a nice little town to stop and relax on your trip around yhe route 1."

"The apartment itself was great, but it is located directly above a restaurant with a banquet area… and there was a party with loud music that was highly audible throughout the evening until the early morning. Aside from the noise/location issues, the apartment was great."

"Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Die kleinen „Häuschen“ sind gut ausgestattet, die Betreiber sehr nett und engagiert. Das Frühstück war zwar nicht wahnsinnig umfangreich, aber sehr lecker mit lokalen Spezialitäten. Vor allem der Räucherlachs, der direkt aus der Gegend kommt, war hervorragend. Obwohl nur einen Steinwurf von der Ringstraße entfernt, ist es hier wunderbar ruhig (außer wenn wir bei mir in der Nacht ein Sturm tobt, aber dafür können die Betreiber ja nichts). Drei kleine Kritikpunkte...

"Eric at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi and sauna are a good addition. It has a cost but worth it after long hours of driving. I would recommend the place. Basic room, no tea or coffee in the room which would have been nice. There is a kettle though. Just plan ahead. Overall a good experience."
