"The best place to stay for miles around is if you are visiting the Redwood National Forest. The room was renovated recently and exceeded our expectations. Not to mention that a real chef prepared our dinner! The front desk worker who checked us out was super friendly and told me about local American Indian culture! "

"The history of the property was fascinating. Staying in the middle of that history was wonderful. I can't praise our excellent host enough. She was a wealth of local history, and gave tremendous recommendations for local food and sites to visit."

"Rm 231... By far the best hotel shower I've ever experienced, and I've traveled the country coast to coast & border to border annually for 20 years staying in 100's of hotels. This stay was for pleasure. I joined local friends to peruse the Friday market and the Saturday Farmer's Market. Parking can be tricky. Some stress leaving my vehicle parked on the street. No issues occured. I'm not finding any reasons to book elsewhere on my next Arcata visit. "

"Very nice staff. We arrived later than planned. She switched our room so my 90 year old mother didn’t have to climb stairs. She even came across the parking lot and helped me get into the room. Far above any service we’ve received from other hotels on this trip. We would stay here again. Hands down. "

"We loved our stay in the cottage. My wife now wants me to build one just like it somewhere. Big enough to not feel cramped, but not too big to where it becomes expensive. The screened patio was enjoyable, we ate dinner and breakfast there. The AC worked great and was very comfortable inside!"

"Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good breakfast room was very clean. Our room looked recently updated. The bed was comfortable and we even had a comfy reclining chair. "

"It was a great experience, from checking in to check out. No issues. All staff kind and professional. Facilities clean, room was spacious and had everything we needed. Highly recommend. "

"Hydrangea Inn a lovely, clean place to stay in Eueraka. It has a home vibe! Breakfast was included and it was a homemade delicious breakfast each morning. Renee the owner offers a comfortable lovely home. I will stay at this location every time I’m in Eureka visiting. I highly recommend it if you’re in the area! "

"Exactly what I needed for an overnight stop after a long day in the Redwoods. Easy access to highway and restaurants, but quiet. Fast, efficient check-in. Clean rooms. Breakfast was acceptable."
