Come stay and enjoy the best of Michigan! We have a small private beach across the street and public Lake Michigan Beach access is just 1-2 miles away at Pier Cove Beach and West Side Park where you can catch the most beautiful sunsets. If you prefer warmer water just relax in the new (2024) Jacuzzi 7 person hot tub while looking out over the lush landscaped backyard that attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, deer and more. Afterwards sink into the oversized couch on the 3 seasons porch and just unwind. There is a big fire pit to roast s’mores a big Weber grill to grill out dinner. We have loads of toys, bikes, books, and games including a kid sized pac-man arcade game to keep everyone entertained. This is the perfect place for to build memories with your family and loved ones!
The location is great! The tall trees and large lot of our home will make you relax from all the hustle and bustle but we are only about 8 mins from downtown Saugatuck, 7 miles from Oval beach, and 10 mins to Douglas. Close to u-pick fruit farms, wineries, and so much more. This is not your typical rental with a million random furniture pieces, we had our home professional decorated in 2021 which a comfortable, upscale, beach house feeling. We have a full sized crib with a new mattress, and lots of other baby stuff to maximize comfort for families. Come and enjoy the best of Michigan.

+ Large open space right off the kitchen with a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams L-shaped sofa, a Serena & Lily Rocker chair, Blackman + Cruz Coffee table.
+ Small couch across the open room from Pottery Barn if you prefer to have a little space and read a book.
+55” TV that you can extend & tilt so you can move it to your preferred spot. We have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Prime TV and Comcast.


BEDROOMS
+ All bedrooms have black out roman shades or roller shades.
+ Primary Suite with a King bed with double vanity bathroom and walk-in closet.
+ 1 Guest bedroom with 2 twin beds and closet (There is an extra twin mattress you can put in the middle but then there is no room to walk around the beds – fun for kids but would not recommend for adults)
+ 1 Guest bedroom with a queen bed and closet (you can also put the extra twin mattress on the floor in here but then no room to get in and out of the closet)

BATHROOMS
+ Primary Suite has a double Vanity with a private toilet and shower area plus a large walk-in closet.
+ Shared bathroom for the guest bedrooms has a bathtub/ shower.
+ We have 2 water heaters (new in 2021) so you should not run out of hot water.
+ New A/C 2022

KITCHEN AND DINING
+ Keurig (new 2024) plus a Drip coffee pot.
+Blender, toaster, pots/pans, etc. Just ask if there is anything else you need. Keep in mind we live here most of the time so there are a lot of items.
+ Plenty of seating for meals - 3 kitchen island bar stools, indoor dining table with seating for 6, screened porch dining table with seating for 8. Child highchair available for use.

Best VRBO I've ever had!

My mom and I booked this house for a weekend getaway and we could not have been more pleased with the hosts, house, hospitality and accommodations! I've stayed at several VRBO's in the past, but I've never experienced the accommodations and care quite like this location. The hosts went above and beyond to really feel like you're at home. The screened in porch, hot tub and fire pit were a highlight of our stay. I couldn't recommend a better VRBO host & house - they truly extend a home to their visitors like family. We'll be coming back again!

Perfect Property!

If you are looking to visit Saugatuck/Douglas area, look no further! This home was very clean, has wonderful gathering places, and the hosts have thought of so many details to make the home welcoming and useful (ex: shower products, towels for the hot tub & beach, beach necessities like chairs & boogie boards, etc!). My family loved the backyard- hot tub, outdoor shower (for after hot tub & Lake Michigan swims), outdoor speakers to connect to, and the fire pit for smores each night. Inside, we loved the screened in porch with PacMan, comfy beds, beautiful home decor and furniture, and a kitchen with everything you need! Lake Michigan is a quick minute walk away, and we loved swimming, wave-jumping and watching sunsets there. Getting into town was simple! Saugatuck was a quick 10 minute drive, Douglas even closer. And we knew what restaurants and activities to try thanks to their amazingly detailed welcome binder! There are also some great restaurants and an ice cream shop only 5 min away. Jayna was also great with communication- before our stay and during- just to make sure we were all set and enjoying ourselves. This is a gem of a home and we highly recommend it!

Great Family Home With Thoughtful Hosts

The hosts thoughtfully provided a great stay for our family. They provided a detailed guide about the home, the neighborhood and their favorite activities and restaurants. They had many toys, games and amenities for our children that made the stay very enjoyable. Our kids really enjoyed the garage play space that led into a spacious driveway and yard. We appreciated the walkable neighborhood, navigable stairs to the private beach and the close proximity to Fennvile, Douglas, Saugatuck and South Haven. The hout tub was well cared for, the fire pit and smore makings were a nice touch and we thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch. Would definitely recommend for a family stay.

Wooded sanctuary

We were two couples and had a wonderful time in this lovely and comfortable home close to the beach and 10 minutes from Saugatuck. We especially loved the wooded backyard with cozy furniture, gentle breezes and birds coming to the feeders - and the fire pit and hot tub! IF we had specifically wanted a beach vacation, we might have chosen something with less steep, narrow stair access on a wider, more walkable beachfront (admittedly hard to find in this area) - BUT for us this home provided a perfect balance of walkable access, natural beauty, comfort and quiet calm near great restaurants and activities. (There are plenty of bigger beaches within a quick drive.) The home and property is lovely, just as pictured. Jayna was an attentive, responsive host.

Great Lake Michigan Escape

The property was absolutely perfect for our stay! Close to what we needed, beach access was easy, and communication with a Jayna was super clear! The home felt very private, beds were comfy, and we had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend! The hot tub was awesome (and plenty of towels). Great for a family getaway

We had the best time with our family (includes a two- and five-year-old). The house was incredibly kid-friendly and my sons are already asking when we can go back to "our Michigan house." Yes, the stairs to the beach are steep, but our (admittedly fearless) two-year-old handled them fine.

Fall Getaway Magic

This was the most beautiful home for a weekend getaway to escape the craziness of life. Communication with Jayna was easy, quick, helpful, and so friendly. This is, by far, the nicest home I’ve ever stayed in. The windows looking out into the yard were perfect for viewing Michigan’s fall colors, falling leaves, and deer. The hot tub was so relaxing, as well as the gas fire pit. I can’t wait to plan a return trip in the near future. Thank you!

Perfect for a Relaxing Fall Get-Away

This property is perfect for families. They set-up a full-size crib for us and the home is impeccably clean. All of our favorite fall activities were just 5-10 minutes away. The furthest we travelled was to Holland and South Haven and those were just 20 minutes away. We were able to fully relax and create Fall memories with our little one.

Slice of Paradise!!

Amazing experience from the start! Jayna and Andy are excellent hosts and are all about the details! Little surprises and “housewarming” touches were a great gesture of kindness and care. great visit

We really enjoyed staying here! It was big and spacious and if you have little ones, the play room was a huge hit. It was close to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck (about 8 minute drive), close to Oval Beach (about 10 minutes or so), and very close to Pier cove beach (about 5 minutes). The house does give you access to a private beach close to the house and they mention the stairs are steep (they weren't kidding!). We did rent this house primarily because we thought it backed right up to the beach based on the pictures so that was a bit of a disappointment. We felt the stairs to the private beach were a bit too steep to attempt with a baby and all the necessary stuff. However, we still really enjoyed our stay here and I would still recommend it. The adults went down to the private beach at sunset and it was beautiful. The house is located in a very quiet area so it is very relaxing but close enough to all the fun activities. The binder they provided for us in the house gave us great ideas for things to do and places to eat and none of them disappointed. They were also very accommodating with our requests and quick to respond!

Beautiful inside and out

Our family of 5 very much enjoyed this house especially the fire pit on the deck with the hot tube, screened in porch and large living room. We biked around the neighborhood, visited the beaches and really enjoyed dinning out and shopping in Saugatuck and Holland. The host were great, very responsive and very helpful.

Perfect for Girls’ Trip!

Beautifully appointed home with plenty of indoor and outdoor social spaces to relax. The hot tub was wonderful and big enough to fit 6 of us. The hosts were responsive when we reached out. Definitely would return.

Great relaxing getaway

Hosts thought of everything and were very helpful. House was spotless. You couldn’t see the lake from the house, but it was just a short walk. Landscaping was very nice, trees kept the yard shaded. It was a 10 min drive to Saugatuck/Douglas with tourist shops, dining and public beaches. We also enjoyed local vineyards, brewery, fruit picking, mini golf and bowling. We had a great trip!
