Wonderful stay

The house was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the open dining/kitchen/living area so we could all visit at once. The den was cozy, but sadly we never made it in there. (The TV was huge) Great stay!!

Convenient location

My dad is very old school and usually only stays at hotels when visiting. I wanted him to experience enjoying an entire house, so this was his first house booking experience. He really, really enjoyed the home and the close proximity to everything!

Room for family

I selected this property for its location to fort Bragg for a quick visit with my son. The house is comfortable, clean, and as described. Owner was very responsive toy questions. I would stay here again. However if you are planning a larger family gathering and meals to cook and serve there is limited serving ware and silverware. Not an issue for us but want to let others know who may plan to do so.

Sadly this property is in need of a lot of TLC and deep cleaning plus overall maintenance due to broken handles, loose doorknobs, dirty walls and doors and a lot of dirty carpeting, plus a bit of a pest problem on the back patio if you turn the light on after dark. When we reached out to the host, he stated that the property was always thoroughly cleaned. We provided a lot of pictures of the property and the issues. His response was that he would send a cleaning crew over if that would work for us (this response is recommended by VRBO per the VRBO website for the host when there is an issue.) We declined because unless they were deep cleaning and doing repairs which is not feasible, it would do very little good. We had already purchased cleaning products at Walmart and were cleaning the areas of the home we were using. His response was then that he would be changing cleaning companies in the future and thanked us for providing the photos. Unfortunately, this did nothing to improve our stay. This was not the best experience for our brief visit to Fayetteville (3 days.) Hopefully the host will step up and address these problems. Otherwise, he needs to change the property description a bit! The pictures of the rental on the VRBO are very strategically taken.

Peaceful

The neighborhood was very quiet and well kept. Loved the house , especially the cleanilness The only complaint i have is that there were no mirrors in the house except for in bathrooms. I would suggest for owner to invest in one full size mirror so that once you get dressed up you are able to access your whole self. We girls need that in our lives😂 Other than that all was good. Would recommend to a friend. Sheila G

Not as great as reviews suggested

The communication with the property manager and the host was as expected. The area, while considered one of the safer neighborhoods in Fayetteville, still wasnt completely safe and assuring. Not sure if there are neighborhood children living nearby, but one instance at dusk as we were entering the home, we had people running through the front of the property. Could have been anyone, safe or dangerous, but we had our guard up the entire trip. Upon arrival, there was a security system which made us feel the host had prepared for uncertain situations, but we eventually found out it was disabled due to past inconveniences of the host. We cordially asked to meet with the host or property manager to show us how to safely and effectively arm the home, but the request was denied. The walls in the entry of the home are questionably dirty, and the sheets in the side bedroom smelled of body odor. There needs to be more attention to the cleanliness, past just tidying up the home. Communication and professionalism from the host and property manager were up to standard, but the cleanliness of the home was sub-standard. Make sure to consider the local crime statistics in the city, as well as the neighborhoods of Fayetteville. All things considered, I would rate the stay 3-stars, average.
