The Red Mill House

The Red Mill House is located at Exit 33(Yocumtown) off Interstate 83, easy access to Pennsylvania Turnpike and I-81. It is convenient to Walmart, pizza shops, fast food restaurants and small shopping areas. We are centrally located between Hershey, Lancaster, Gettysburg and close to York & Harrisburg. There is a large level yard, fire pit & barbeque grill, great for families. This is an old house, very functional but old! Many quaint details with modern conveniences. It is NOT a 5 star hotel
The space
The Red Mill House was built in the late 19th century. A lot of the old charm still exists amongst modern conveniences - like the updated kitchen. Off the kitchen is a dining room with French doors leading to the living room. The first floor also has a laundry room/ bathroom combination with an antique clawfoot tub. Located on the second floor are 2 bedrooms and a nice size full bathroom. The home is old and shows it’s age. It has character and quirks. Water is hard and this is reflected in the plumbing fixtures.
Guest access
The guests have access to the entire main house. There are two rooms off the sunroom that are private. DO NOT ENTER these rooms. They are not part of the rental.
There is a shed and garage with maintenance equipment which would be off limits.
Other things to note
Set in a picturesque country location yet close to highway and all amenities.

Red Mill House had everything we needed and a wonderful collection of antiques. Each room was a decorated with the collectibles and had its own personality.

Quiet country stay

The house is quaint and eclectic with many interesting vintage details. Internet was good, we were able to have food delivered and it was close enough to the main highway that we could easily travel around the area. Even though a local road was close to the house it was quiet in the house.

Nostalgic atmosphere

Norman's place is an older home full of unique decorations that reminded me of my home in Virginia. It's the kind of place that when you enter the door you feel like its where you belong. Norman was very helpful with any questions I had and quick to respond to my messages. Its a great place to stay if you enjoy comfort.

Beautiful Home

This location was perfect. My family visited Hershey and Gettysburg during our stay. The home is very well equipped and very comfortable. The owner is very responsive to any questions we had. My family would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our stay very memorable.

Cozy away from home

Cozy farm house felt like home away from home. Great location just far enough way yet close to all the amenities. Host made check in prices as easy as possible despite an error in booking on my part. Thanks for the great hospitality!!!

Me, my wife, and our daughter stayed at the Red Mill house to visit family in the immediate area. It worked out great. The house has a very fun interior décor. It's fun on the inside and unpresuming from the outside!

Amazing host and property!

Norm was great from start to finish and we loved everything about his place. Great old house with tons of cool stuff and everything in great condition. Property is spacious quiet and peaceful.
