This property would have been just fine. The breakfast was good, the receptionist and staff were very nice, and the location was great. But two issues occurred which lead me to the negative rating. 1) During the night of my stay, a belligerent guest had a prostitute over. They spent at least an hour in the middle of the night fighting over the payment (just in front of my room). It was frightening, and I had hoped the hotel would call security. They did not. I understand that these issues with prostitutes also happen at luxury hotels, etc, but it is really important to protect the other guests from lying awake listening to a violent brawl and shouting match in the middle of the night. 2) there is a complimentary airport shuttle service, but the driver who took me to the airport had clearly been drinking. This is another safety issue. You could easily stay here and enjoy the place if you don’t run into these two issues, but my experience was not so positive given what happened.

Staff was nice, location was good and room was clean. However, the WiFi did not work in the rooms and they could not get coffee organized before 7:30am. Tip to manager, if you can't get your cook in early, have a hot pot in the room for early risers.

Great stay, although the staff should get the breakfast orders earlier than 9:15pm at night. We were asleep. Perhaps you could ask guests for their order at check in.,

My flight arrived rather late in evening, but Chris was waiting for me. Room was lovely, very clean, spacious with beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was provided, eggs, toast, coffee, fruit, and was more than enough. This is a great little "beach house" style guest house that provides great Ugandan hospitality!

Personal service and quality rooms.

Great lake-front location, and attentive service throughout. No extra charge for transfer to the airport at 2am, and the "basic" room I'd booked was anything but basic. Wifi good in public areas, but didn't work in all of the rooms.

Personal service in great surroundings

Quality rooms and attentive service in a great location. I didn't try the restaurant, as there is so much choice on the lakeshore. Victoria Mall is about 15 minutes walk, with a supermarket, restaurants (Cafe Javas isn't just a coffee shop), ATMs, and currency exchange.

Not a five star property. Shower was not working properly, only one towel, no matt when you get out on a slippery floor.Towel holder came off the wall. Good location with nice view of Lake Victoria. Very good breakfast.

Hotel is new, clean, friendly employees. Near Viktória lake. No air conditioning just a fan. However the rooms are big and the heat didn’t disturb us. I recommend this to my friends

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel was very responsive to my inquiries before we arrived. Our room was really nice and clean with a large balcony looking out at Victoria Lake. They have a restaurant on the premises that has excellent food (the pizza was one of the best I've had in a while!). The staff was very accommodating to all our requests and everyone was very nice. The hotel offers a free ride from the airport which was a huge bonus. They are also a walking distance (about 15 minutes) from a small mall and botanical gardens. This was a perfect place to stay for couple nights and relax after a long flight.

My husband and I highly recommended this hotel for your stay as you step off your flight and into Uganda. Driver was waiting for us. If you have children you may want to select a different hotel that has a pool. Other than that we were made very comfortable here.

Was very disappointed that air conditioning was listed as an amenity when in fact only a fan was available. Entebbe is hot and is in a malaria zone, so I specifically paid extra for a hotel with air conditioning.

Nice staff. We rented 4 rooms and they upgraded 2 of them for free. The basic rooms were already very roomy. Basic room has shower only, but hot water. Toothpaste and toothbrush was a nice touch but no shampoo (I did not try to ask for it, as I always carry my own in Trips like this). No AC, but fans. In June weather was nice and fan was fine. Breakfast was great. Omelete, toast, bacon or sausage, fruits, juice and tea or coffee. They have chairs to seat in the beach next to fish market Very friendly staff who took me to the grocery store at night so I could buy ice cream. Also free ride to the airport Cons: You are next to a lake in a tropical country. In other words, if your light is on, in one of the rooms with terrace, hundreds of bugs will fly in (the terrace door lock is not bug tight). But they fly away when you turn off the light. We (7) did not get any bites. Interestingly they died when I tried my repellent...

A nice getaway, close to the beach, homey atmosphere with only a few suites. Perhaps it would even be better if the staff, who are really helpful, made themselves a little more scarce, and perhaps available only at the front desk. Most Western guests like their privacy and might not appreciate the equally good practice of African hospitality that takes the form of constant presence.
