"The owner of the house, Colleen was like an angel. My grandmother lived in the same neighborhood as Sunnyside and I had no idea and I know she would be happy that I ended up in the Hands of such a beautiful soul. She cooks like an amazing southern chef and is so hospitable. She has two very friendly and beautiful dogs and makes you feel right at home. I came for a family reunion and I think I added to the family! My husband and I are extremely happy and we can’t wait to come back!"

"We were disappointed with the condition of our room. The furnishings were very nice (and realizing it's an historic building) it just looked very tired, the walls, bathroom, etc. At least our room did. In addition there was an adjoining door to the room next door that didn't block the sound at all from that room. You could hear just about everything coming from there. After coming back from diner we found ourselves locked out of the building as the coded keypad to the front door wasn't...

"Lovely, clean hotel. The problem i had was the noise. I had a wonderful view of the river and the bridges but I heard every loud car, truck, motorcycle and siren. The staff was very accommodating and gave me a room facing the opposite direction. That room had a damp feeling. Assuming from the AC. And during the week there is not much for breakfast. They put out a few Nutragrain bars, coffee , water. Bare minimum. They save the larger services for the weekends. Staff was excellent, property...

"The hotel was older and showed it. The wait person at breakfast was fascinating. He made me a decaf coffee even though the management told him not to. There was very little business in the hotel."

"Our host, who doesn't live in the house, gave us free run of the place since no one else had rented the other bedroom. The place was comfortable but not updated. Our host was very pleasant and accommodating and we enjoyed visiting with her. She provided us with a nice breakfast using eggs from her own hens."

"Opponent arrival, I used the lobby restroom, which had flies and bugs in it. The furniture in the lobby was filthy and worn out. I arrived an hour early and they said they still had not cleaned the room yet so I said I would gladly wait. Upon a visual inspection of the room after they cleaned it, it had been hastily done. Sheets were not changed and everything reeked of some industrial cleaning fluid. Expedia did give me a $25 return of my money that I used on an alternate hotel that evening....
