However, I was a VIP and I was not offered a free bottle of wine which I would’ve declined since I don’t drink so there should be another option. I also was not offered any type of upgrade meeting a late checkout, even though I had a later flight that day or an upgrade. If it wasn’t for one person there, I would’ve read it lower. "Staff at the front desk greeted me warmly. When I shared that it was my first time staying at the hotel (and I visit Washington DC about 12 times a year), I received an automatic upgrade! Free Peleton in the room allowed me to workout in the morning before a full day of meeting. the coffee in the room was SUPERB! Can't tell you how relaxing it is to have a cup of fresh brewed decaf - so delicious - before rest! I can't wait to bring my husband!"

"This is my second stay at Hotel Hive and I chose it again because it's so cute and very convenient. A 15 min metro ride from DCA and the metro is a 5 min walk away from the hotel. The rooms are small, yes, but that's why it's a micro hotel. It still has all the things you need. My only complaint is who decided to put a reading lamp attached to the wall 6 inches out at the HEAD of the bed? I definitely smoked my head off it more than once, which wasn't pleasant.
