"1. Met two male staff ( 1 @ check-in and 1 @ check-out)! Not greeting and no smile! Did not explain the upfront add’l charge of $237 ( resort fee and “security deposit”! I was surprised to find out that they charged $50 per night. So, if you had stayed there for 30 days, they would have charged you cars $1,500 @ check-in!
2. The place was dated! My daughter can feel every spring of the sofa bed mattress!
3. The bathroom tile wall had mold in practically every grout line between tiles!!

"Loved it! Great place for couples looking for a weekend adventure. The place was beautiful and spacious, with lovely views of trees and the village. Everything you need is walking distance from this hotel. Parking was easy, and secure in an underground garage. There’s lots to do in Mammoth and this is a great place to come back and relax/ unwind. Would definitely come back!"

"The place has gone downhill. The room wasn’t that great anymore. Bed was made terrible I thought it might not have been made. The toilet seat was damaged / dirty?? The restaurant is being remodeled so no food or bar. They did have in room dinning but no alcohol. Limited menu I didn’t use. I’ve stayed here countless times last time I noticed they need to refurbish the whole property. At least they are doing the restaurant and are working on lobby."

"The Austria Hof is very close to one of the lifts at Mammoth, so I would assume that this is a prime location to stay in the winter time. We stayed in the summer. It's quite a nice property with ample parking, but be aware that there is no elevator/lift available. There are steep stairs to climb up to the lobby level. My friend and I were assigned very nice rooms on the third floor up even steeper, winding stairs.
