"Room was spacious, clean, and cozy. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Shower was also spacious and provided good water pressure. We only saw one other couple during our 2 night stay so it felt very private. The coffee shop next door and food truck were also very convenient and delicious.
2 suggestions: a full-length mirror and a floor fan. The room got a little stuffy at night. "

"The room was great, and the staff were kind and very helpful! They allowed us to check in very early as our room was ready. My only complaint would be that our room did not have blackout shades on 2 of the windows, so it was quite bright in the morning. Other then that- fantastic stay!"

"Great area to stay in. Mount Pleasant is a 10 min to Daniels Island (tennis tournament), 15 to ocean and 10 min to Charleston. It was a 10 min drive to Shem Creek, love the restaurants in that area. Hotel was very clean, plenty of parking and nice staff. Room has a microwave and mini fridge. There wasn’t breakfast at this hotel but options in the area "

"We have stayed at this Best Western location many times over the last 5 or 6 years, but this was our worst experience. The rooms were mostly clean. The breakfast was mostly fine. The staff was mostly friendly. The pool was not clean - as in, we couldn't swim in it - and we came during spring break. My biggest issue was with the person at the front desk when we checked in. He was friendly and professional initially. But his response when I asked"

"The shower was moldy in both rooms I was put in. The first room had one screw holding the safety latch thing on the door so they put me in another room since they had no one to put in a screw!!!! The pool to which they share with Best Western next door was ABSOLUTLY NASTY. Broken umbrellas, broken chairs and FILTHY tables where you wouldn't want to put your drink down on them. "We had no idea just how wonderful this area and hotel could be! The beauty of the waterway, the wonder of the dolphins and the peaceful quality of the hotel, we loved every minute we were there. The walkways around the water, the dolphins swimming - it was all wonderful. The Shem Creek staff were all friendly and helpful and made our stay great. I found Shem Creek from reading novels about the area and am so happy we decided to visit!"
