  • Our Milkhouse Cottage has been rebuilt from the original milk house when our farm buildings were built in 1906. The gardens were created from the original barnyard floor. The property is across the road from the best wild trout stream in western Wisconsin. . Nestled is a peaceful valley close to designated bike trails and miles of county roads perfect for biking. Amenities include one queen bed, 1 fold out very comfortable sofa bed, air conditioning, private deck, private fire pit & much more.

This was a perfect place for a getaway. What charming and very personable hosts. The place was just as it was advertised. All of the personal art touches only added to the charm of this hidden gem!! I would definitely stay again!

My husband and I had such a wonderful time! Central to so many fun spots. Phil and Kay are wonderful hosts - even took my husband fly fishing! We can't wait to return.

They greeted us when we arrived and taught us the history of the property. The cottage was a great place to stay and we loved the grill and fire pit!

Nice place. Pretty area. Says 2 bdrm but 1 with pull out couch. Would be nice if there was a tv upstairs and downstairs.

Beautiful gardens, hosts are on site but not intrusive at all, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Trout fishing within easy walking distance. All in all a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and unwind. Will definitely return

Beautiful location and cottage! The owners were excellent hosts! We picked rocks by the river and thrifted in the area and Red Wing. Lovely get away and I’m definitely going to stay there again.

Beautiful and Peaceful

The beautiful countryside and gardens gave us the quiet escape we needed. The love that has gone into meticulously renovating this old farm property is evident, and the hosts are delightful.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We stayed after spending the day in the Stockholm area. Hosts were friendly and very helpful. They live on site but our stay still felt private due to privacy walls and large flower gardens which enclosed our hang out space. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean. We loved the firepit area which was tucked around the side of the cottage, and also enjoyed eating outside on the patio. The inside is set up as a tiny-cottage but did not feel crowded with four ladies. There is a nice loft space with a fold up table where we played cards. I would highly recommend staying in July when the gardens are in full bloom! Bonus it was only a half mile from Vino in the Valley. We would stay again if in the area!
