"The cabin was cozy and comfortable. I was worried about the heating, aa our stay was on a cold nigjt, bit it worked perfectly and we were warm. The hot water in the kitchen and bathroom area also exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely stay again."

"We had an awesome weekend at the cabin; the views are breathtaking. Host was very communicative and pleasant to deal with. The grill got a ton of use and I appreciated the ease of the Roku and being able to log in to our own streaming services for nighttime movies. The only real issue we had was that we almost didn't make it up the mountain despite having a 4WD SUV. The road is large loose gravel, and at one particularly steep point it briefly changes to 2 paved tire tracks- trying to transition...

"What a wonderful cabin. Our family of four stayed here very comfortably. We made memories that will never be forgotten. There’s so much to do with the fire pit, jacuzzi and river front access. It was exactly what we wanted in order to unplug and be in nature. It’s such a beautiful spot. "

"We have stayed at The Great Escape numerous times and love the cabin. It is perfect for a long weekend in the mountains. During the days, we enjoy hikes in Shenandoah National Park and the George Washington National Forest. In the evenings, we relax in the hot tub, prepare dinners in the very well-equipped kitchen, and sleep soundly in the comfortable bed. A fully fenced in back yard for dogs and a washer and dryer are two of our favorite amenities. Don and Lina are excellent hosts, making sure...
