    The Space:

    Tucked away in the trees lining Racoon Point Road, this beautiful wood cabin is a hidden gem with all the amenities and comforts you need for a perfect vacation! Step into a bright and open wood-paneled living space featuring large windows boasting nature views, high vaulted ceilings, and a large sectional sofa. The kitchen is loaded with appliances and cookware to help you create something special for tonight's guests. The deck is the perfect way to savor the surrounding area with a morning coffee or a glass of evening wine. This home is equipped with one bedroom and one fold-out sofa when it's time to wind down for the night. Use the free WiFi to download a favorite playlist to your device then take the dog on a long walk around the property.



    There are all sorts of great activities nearby, so be sure to pack some snacks. Check out some of the nearby restaurants, shops, and wineries in the area like Roses Bakery Cafe, Faraways Boutique, and The Orcas Project Tasting Room, all just four miles away. Three miles east, you'll find Crescent Beach Trailhead and Crescent Beach Preserve with great hiking trails, and about 11 miles south, Moran State Park awaits with more trails, lakes, and an observation tower for panoramic nature views. Head out to find some orca and humpback whales when you schedule a trip with Outer Island Excursions, less than four miles from your front door.

There was urine on the carpet in the bedroom and on a bed in the loft upstairs. Most of the dishes were dirty when we took them out. There is a loud noise that vibrates the entire cabin for several hours. Other than that it is a lovely cabin

Close enough to town but far enough out for the quiet. Was nice to have a stocked kitchen for cooking. Clean little cabin. Sitting on the porch was nice, quiet.

Scenic and quiet property. Close to town. Cramped bathroom. Missing light in bedroom ceiling. The grill hasn’t been cleaned in a while. Burned out light in microwave. I was told that laundry facilities were available next door but they aren’t any. Otherwise, we chose well.

Very clean and stocked with everything you need! Private and secluded but only 10 minutes to Eastsound. Not much of a water view due to the trees but you can still see just enough to sit out on the deck & enjoy the sunrise. There’s a gas bbq but we cooked inside. The bed and pillows on the main floor are comfortable and clean, didn’t use anything upstairs. Bathroom has what you need and a lot of open cabinet space. We don’t currently have a pup, but it has specific towels for dogs & poop bags! The only thing that I thought could use an upgrade was the couch set, It’s pretty worn out.

If you're looking for something tucked away from the rest of the world than look no further. Silently off to the side of long, windy, paved path, surrounded by trees and sound of silence broken only by the sound of a single car going down the road every couple of hours or so, this space is perfect for a romantic getaway.Everything is provided for you from cutting boards to cups/plates and cookware! Dont forget to bring stuff to grill! BUT, you're less than 10 minutes from the town's grocery store if you need more fresh local produce!Overall, this was the perfect place to leave everything behind and enjoy a nice, relaxing, and truly beautiful vacation to one of the best islands in the San Juans

This is a cool place, very secluded and private cabin. Fun forest atmosphere. It did have a funny smell. Overall a great vacation spot.

We loved out short stay! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the cabin was cozy warm , even with freezing rain.

Warm cozy cabin in the woods. Love all the wood in the interior and has everything you need for a weekend on the island. Great spot!

sweet retreat

The Raccoon Retreat was cute & clean & quiet & comfortable! We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning, listening to birdsong. Location was close enough to dining & shopping, to any & all outdoor adventures, yet far enough away to offer true respite! We had a fantastic stay!

Sweet hidden cabin

Overall this property fit our needs for a couple nights. It had basic necessities in a private woodsy location. Not as clean as we would prefer, but our family was happy for beds, a bathroom, and kitchen amenities on Orcas!

Cozy, quiet getaway cabin. Good WIFI. Stove, fridge, microwave, tv, furnace and space heater. Short walk to spectacular views.

Stayed here for three nights in February. Quiet. Good for one person or a couple, would be tight for a family. Well equipped, great giant couch. I loved it.

Nice location on Orcas

This is a tiny house. About 2 on each side of the bed. Good for a weekend, not a long stay. The location is great to get to all points on the island.
