Kayak from our beach! Located in beautiful Westsound, 5 min from ferry, newly renovated cedar cabin with partial water view. West sound Marina is just a short stroll down the street for boat moorage and/or Kenmore Air service. Public access on the shore offers beach combing and sailing. Orcas Island Yacht Club is next door with summer sailing lessons for kids available in the harbor. Relax in the cool evening air enjoying the charming ambiance of the propane fire pit. Plus, brand new, six person hot tub! Enjoy the abundant wildlife families of eagles, deer, geese, peacocks and rabbits and more that make this area their home. Families will love playing in the large level yard . Cozy and secluded for a couple or small family, yet with sleeping quarters and dining areas for six. Lovely traditional style, comfortable and perfect for your group's Orcas stay. Great views and outdoor spaces, gas fire pit, BBQ, large hot tub, 55 inchTV w/5.1 surround. Holds up to 6 , 2 bedrooms (2 queens), plus comfy pull out Queen bed on private enclosed sun porch. Ping pong in game room garage. Large yard with apple and pear and plum tree for delicious eating when in season. Coffee/tea service is provided, all bathroom amenities, and laundry room products. Blustery stay on Orcas didn't disappoint

We enjoyed our 4 days on Orcas Island - hiking and relaxing. John provided useful information on activities across the island and responded rapidly to our questions.

Rustic Retreat with all the Amenities

It's not a fancy place, but it has everything you might need for a lovely stay on Orcas. Vibrant gardens full of hummingbirds, your choice of patios depending on the time of day, great grill, and a resident pair of peacocks who visit every evening. How many places have you stayed with a house rule that says "do not feed the peacocks"? Lovely escape.

Orcas getaway

We had a great stay at the cabin and especially liked the ping pong table and hot tub! Great location -- close to the ferry and town. John was a gracious host who provided clear instructions on how to get to the property (and also to navigate the ferry, which was particularly helpful!) and made himself available for any questions we might have had.

Beautiful, relaxing property.

My adult kids and I had a wonderful time at this well cared for, thoughtfully appointed property. We enjoyed this house, the hot tub, the views, the stars, as well as the comfort of a home that has everything we wanted. John was a great host. This is a favorite that we’ll return to.

Great place!

Very cozy, clean, and peaceful. Great for kids. There are geese and peacocks around the property for entertainment. Also, the hot tub was a big hit. Close to town, beaches, and parks. Very happy with our stay.

Wonderful stay

This was the perfect house for our family! We loved the outdoor patio and hot tub, and enjoyed watching a meteor shower from there. The owners were great at communicating and made everything easy - including renting kayaks. The property had everything we needed and was super clean and comfortable. Great hosts and great home!

Great vibe, view and amenities

We all loved our time and would come back if we get to Orcas Island. The house is spacious, super clean, comfortable and set up for hang time. We enjoyed our time in the hot tub; sitting in the various outdoor seating spots gazing at the view: playing ping pong; observing the peacocks; and sleeping peacefully. The place is away from the road and peaceful. There is enough room in the house for the three of us to get our own space and also cozy for time together. We enjoyed our stay so much.

A peaceful island reprieve

Wonderful location near a quiet marina. The home was clean and well appointed for a getaway weekend with my sons. The sunset view over the rolling lawn towards the water was worth the trip alone. Our host was kind and responsive.

Charming, A++ hot tub!

We arrived during a storm in the week during Christmas and NYE. There were some bumps at arrival due to extreme unusual cold — the owners were on sight right away to help us! It’s a very charming comfortable house, a big draw for us was the hot tub and it did not disappoint — steamy hot, right outside the door and tucked into a stone wall / foliage area, it felt like a hot spring. My only tiny minuses were …. Beds were kind of uncomfortable - husband and I both sore backs! (Teens slept great, naturally). And as a foodie - kitchen was stocked but basic only. Wifi spotty could have been weather?? Data worked well

Great location and lovely private home

This is a great place to stay as it is close to town and very private from the neighbors and the road. John and Britt made the check in process easy and they were really nice to talk to. While the layout inside is a little funky, there was plenty of space to stretch out and was a relaxing place to stay. We would definitely recommend to stay here!
