  • "Huckle Chuckle" (también conocido como "The Lake Cottage") es la perfecta escapada de verano. Increíblemente bien conservado, y bastante grande. El borde de la espaciosa propiedad se encuentra a solo unos metros del lago prístino y de su embarcadero privado. Perfecto para lanzar un kayak, o instalar una silla y pescar truchas de manera informal, mientras observa águilas y amaneceres.

    Hay un gran patio grande, ideal para una ronda de croquet, bádminton o golf de frisbee si eso es lo que te gusta.

    Un enorme porche cubierto da al lago. Ahí es donde te relajarás, compartiendo una cerveza artesanal con familiares y amigos, mientras que otra persona recibe la barbacoa a cambio de un cambio.

    En el interior, hay tres pisos de alojamientos residenciales con 9 habitaciones que pueden alojar cómodamente hasta 22 huéspedes. Más si son realmente amables.

We loved our stay in Eagles Mere! The house was beautiful, and we had such a nice time, especially on the large porch with lake views. We were a large group of adults in town for a wedding, and everyone slept comfortably and got their own room. Very special spot!

Our extended family enjoyed a beautiful long weekend at Eagles Mere. The house with its many bedrooms, large living room and big back porch as well as the walking path around the lake and the beach area made this the perfect weekend. We’d definitely stay here again.

Fabulous house for a family reunion. Super clean and spacious. Bedrooms are on 2nd & 3rd floors, which would be difficult for elderly that have challenge with steps. Kitchen work space small but really well stocked. We had one family in charge of cooking each night, which worked well. Huge porch with a lovely view of yard and peek of the lake. Awesome and plenty of seating to eat dinner every night out on the porch with 18 of us. Large family room provided our small children space to play and simultaneously space for adults to visit. Several fans provided, but we brought extra small window fans which were also used. Just a 10-15 minute walk to Eagles Mere beach which is fantastic. So much fun using the kayaks, paddel boards, and peddle boats.

Another Great Family Vacation

Huckle Chuckle was wonderful even on the hottest, most humid days of our visit. Can't beat the location, accommodations, and amenities. Thank you for another great family vacation, J&R!

Great scenic and historical property

We greatly enjoyed an eclectic and roomy historical property! Great view, well inventoried kitchen, very roomy, we had 12 men and seated everyone for meals, great fire pit, and a cool historic yet homey vibe. Would be a great place for a multi family vacation. Kids would love the place.

We had a phenomenal time! Thank you for providing such a great experience for us on Eaglesmere lake. The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and clearly well cared for, with thoughtful touches throughout. We left feeling totally refreshed and already planning our next trip back :)

Beautiful and fun stay in Eagles Mere

Huckle Chuckle is the perfect cottage for a relaxing stay in Eagles Mere with family. The house is large enough to fit many family members with comfortable and beautiful communal areas to get together. We loved sitting on the porch together overlooking the lake and being a quick walk from the beach.

Beautiful house in great location

We loved our stay at Huckle Chuckle. It’s a cool historic house with quirks and character. There’s lots of space to spread out and the kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed. Location-wise it’s a quick walk in one direction to the beach and to the Sweet Shop the other way. We hope to stay again.

A place with CHARM!

The place was comfortable and inviting with plenty of room to move around and gather together. We stayed on a rather unusually cold week and the gas heating system had a bit of a learning curve but once we got things working it went well. Enjoyed the extra parking spaces on the side street. Glad to have had the full kitchen and large dining table to gather around. Will stay again!

Lovely Cottage on the Lake!

We had a fantastic time at Huckle Chuckle cottage. This is an old school place with oodles of charm. We loved the deep covered porch with views of the lake and opening all the windows and doors to get the constant breeze. Convenient to all EM has to offer! Looking forward to returning!

Spacious and accommodating

Huckle Chuckle was one of the most accommodating cottages we have rented in Eagles Mere and we look forward to staying there in the future. The spacious great room, deck and dining room provided us with wonderful opportunities for shared activities, as well as quiet spaces for reading. Bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and abundant, perfect for our the different needs of family members.

Perfect place for a writing retreat

We absolutely loved our stay at Huckle Chuckle! It provided us with plenty of space to spread out and do some writing. We loved the big living room for use in the evenings where we would each take a turn sharing our writing and feedback. Love the gas fireplace! Though it was chilly outside, we still got in some nice porch time and a walk around the lake. Highly recommend this for a group retreat!

Wonderful Girls Retreat

Eagles Mere is a hidden gem. We felt as if we were in a movie set the entire weekend. The house is charming and well stocked, the owners are amazing - responsive and kind. Everything was clean and prepared for anything you think you may need during your stay. We enjoyed the large fireplace room, the firepit, and walking the Laurel Path. We throughly enjoyed the abundant historical information about the home and the area. We are already planning our next trip!
