"Everything was perfect with the property and the host even came to help right away when we had one issue with the lights."

"The yard is awesome, of course the hot tub at the top of the hill was the best, and we enjoyed the firepit as well. The house was a tidy little cottage at which we enjoyed our stay. It’s within a short walk to the National Park and downtown Miller Beach. The neighborhood is fine, pretty secluded, and still close to most attractions."

"We had a great stay at the Funky Turtle. The house was clean and just enough space for my family of 5. The house is close to campground bathrooms if the occasional extra bathroom is needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, use of the grill, and sitting on the porch. Our only complaint is about the noise but it was clear from the map that the campground was located near an interstate. "Enjoyed three nights at this property to hike the dunes. Location was good, towards the West side of the park but an easy drive to multiple hikes. Also had the option to walk directly from the house for the Miller Woods trail and Miller Woods Beach. Backyard was great for relaxing after a day of hiking. Grill was easy to use with the hard lined gas and hot tub was clean and enjoyable. If you do bring more than 2 cars, the remote lot is at the Miller train stop about a mile south. Was a bit...

"We all just loved it here, all the beds are very comfortable, everything is in good working order. Communication with managers was prompt and easy. We would have appreciated an orientation book, to minimize hunting for first aid kit; we didn't find it until the end of the last day. There is one or two bathrooms that have no towel racks, so door nobs had to do. We also thought the check in early and check out late fees were way too high. "This is the perfect home base for your family if you're visiting the museums in Chicago. It's a short drive to the Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum, Soldier Field, etc. The apartment is lovely, updated and spacious, and there is plenty of (free) street parking. While some people express concern about south side areas, this neighborhood seemed very quiet and safe, with many homes being renovated and updated. We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others."

"The area is quiet and the apartment is close to a dog park which is open to non-residents. There is a paved walkway right by the park that’s nice so I was able to walk my dog in the morning. The property manager immediately replied to any questions I had and the apartment was fully stocked in the kitchen, etc. I booked this because of the cost. I was in town to see the Indiana Dunes. I would stay here again."

"We enjoyed our visit to Gary. The property was very nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Not an area for dining or shopping, but quick access to the whole city. Weren’t able to control the thermostat and didn’t figure out the alarm system right away, but really enjoyed the game room and televisions. Overall, a very enjoyable and positive experience. Thanks."

"This cottage is two blocks from the beach and a 2 minute drive to National Sand Dunes West Beach. Under 10 minutes to the miller station south shore line. It was a perfect vacation adventure for my family of 5. An 11 year old boy, a 14 year old boy, and a 15-year old girl. We spent three days at the beach and exploring the national park and three days exploring the city. It was a perfect blend. This cottage while seemingly small had plenty of space for the five of us to spread out, sleep...
