Pet Friendly Cabin with Hot Tub Views, Deck, Fire Pit - 14 Minutes to Purg

Our 2,000 square foot cabin sits on 3.5 acres and features 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and is located 10 miles (14 minutes) from Purgatory Ski Resort and 16 miles (less then 30 minutes) from downtown Durango.

Nestled among century old pines, the cabin is on a secluded, 3.5 acre property surrounded by National Forest on one side and the exclusive Glacier Club on the other. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck with expansive views of the surrounding mountains deciding which of the many Durango-area adventures you'll choose for the day. The cabins are located just a 14 minute drive from Purgatory Ski Resort and a easy 20 minutes drive to historic downtown Durango. . You will not find a more peaceful retreat with as easy access to all that Durango has to offer, no matter what time of year you visit this spectacular part of Colorado.

The cabin features and amazing deck with a private hot tub, out door seating and a gas fire pit (available year round). And of course the cabin contains the standard amenities like a fully stocked kitchen, fast WIFI (thru Starlink - 100mbs), cable TV, washer/dryer etc. etc..

Bed Configuration:
Master - King with TV and Ensuite Bath (Main Level)
2nd - Queen with TV (Upstairs)
3rd - Twin and Bunk Bed (Twin over Queen) (Upstairs)

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

4WD/AWD is not required in winter as the cabin is accessed via CR 200 which is paved and the home is right off CR 200.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Million Dollar View

Fantastic property. The main house we stayed in was marvelous and met all our needs. The other structures on the property appeared promising. This compound would serve well for family gatherings! We were there for our partner’s 30th birthday. We spent the entire time there slack-jawed while taking in the view and just relaxing and being lazy.

An unforgettable Colorado trip!

The house was amazing! The views from the back porch are awesome! From the back porch, we saw a couple of mule deer, a turkey, and some chipmunks (sorry, no Sasquatch). Coming from SW Louisiana, sitting on the back porch and soaking in the hot tub was about as relaxing as it gets! The weather was perfect, even though the area was experiencing a "record heat wave". We were a little concerned about no A/C, but that was not an issue at all. We opened the windows in the evenings and the house stayed a very comfortable temperature. We weren't there during the day, so we closed the windows. When we returned in the afternoon/evenings, the temperature in the house was still comfortable despite the "heat wave". The house is very nice, the kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook breakfast and supper everyday. The beds are comfortable, and there is an air mattress available if needed. We were a party of 8 adults and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep on. The managing company emailed and texted several times to see if we needed anything. I could not have asked for a better experience. As for activities; we drove to Silverton several times (beautiful drive), drove the Million Dollar Highway to Ouray (another beautiful drive, and not as bad as people made it out to be), visited Arches National Park in Moab (about a 3 hour drive), and white water rafting with Mountain Waters Rafting Company (Brielle was an awesome guide!), the train ride from Silverton to Dur

Cabin

The cabin had a large deck with plenty of seating and great Mountain views. The hot tub was also great. The downstairs was very roomy for our party of 7. The big drawback was the musty smell through out the cabin- that is my reason for an overall 2 star rating.

Great location and nice house.

The location of this property is really nice. Easy to find and get in and out of and yet it was quiet and secluded. With a new moon the stars were spectacular. If this was summer we would have stayed up all night on the deck staring at the sky. The house is a little older but has been updated. It needed a little TLC in a few spots but overall worked out well for us. The amenities were nice, propane fire pit and heater and a full hot tub.
