Salt Box: an Enchanting Historical Property with a Pool

We are pleased to offer you a truly whimsical treasure. Salt Box is an enchanting and quaint village home that has been tastefully renovated but still maintains its old style charm. There is a romantic covered outdoor living area that flows to a large walled backyard for privacy as well as garden entertaining. The main cottage has 3 air conditioned bedrooms, 2 on the main floor and an ensuite master bedroom suite upstairs. The cottage has 2 air conditioned bedrooms with a shared bathroom and outdoor shower. A large salt water swimming pool ties the two cottages together. The old style kitchen is equipped with fridge, stove, cooking utensils with a historic fireplace backdrop original from circa 1820. There are various lounging spaces which including the cozy indoor living room and the calm outdoor living room perfect for reading or having small dinner parties. The guest cottage has a small outdoor living room and outdoor eating area to have all your meals under cover overlooking the pool. There is a small BBQ made from repurposed stones from the vintage home where you can cook and sit under the trees.

Travel group included myself and Husband, both of our daughters ages 21 and 33 plus son-in-law and granddaughter not quite two years old. The property is just as it is described. We did rent a golf cart and we loved Mrs.. V’s for beach access, chairs/umbrella and great food and drink. Rental of crib was great. Our granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed running around the spacious property and chasing the roosters! Both dolce and Brianna were lovely and very sweet. We loved having a main house and guest house because it did give us some separation for those early mornings with a toddler.. the outdoor spaces are all spectacular!! we just cannot say enough good things about our experience!

This is a great place to stay if you have a big party, the rooms are spaced out nicely. While the indoor living space is small, the outdoor living area and pool area make up for it! We had the best time and plan to visit again soon.

This place is heaven! It’s exactly as pictured and better. It was was cozy but had plenty of space for our group of 7 - the outdoor seating areas are all beautiful! And the pool! So warm and relaxing. The host was also very responsive - when a circuit tripped, they were there within 10 minutes. I can’t recommend this property highly enough.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Salt Box. It’s a very charming Bahamian style property and very well kept. Once we walked through the house, we were amazed by the size of backyard/pool area and pool house which has 2 very nice bedrooms and a large bath. We ate most meals out but did have an incredible evening of grilled lobsters over the open fire on the parrilla. Great place for a family vacation.

Everything about Salt Box was PERFECTION!!!!! No one in our party wanted to leave and we look forward to our next visit. Brianna and Dolce were so helpful in making sure that everything was perfect for our first visit to Harbour Island. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us!!

Wow this property is such a gem! The outdoor space was even bigger than I imagined, our group of 5 couples had the best time utilizing the big heated pool, lots of nice lounging areas, and perfect set up for grilling and outdoor dining. The main house and cottage were beautifully decorated and included all we needed. The hosts and Brianna and Dolce were welcoming and always quick to respond. They even helped accommodate us last minute when we had a flight cancellation. Overall great experience - I hope to go back to Saltbox again, and would highly recommend to anyone.

We absolutely loved our stay at Salt Box! It was in the middle of town, yet it felt very private secluded in the backyard! The kids loved the nice sized pool, and getting to the beach was a breeze! Sofia was an excellent host! Highly recommend!

Such a charming property and the backyard looks like it is out of a magazine. We had the most magical stay at the Salt Box. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the cottage is just adorable! One couple had the cottage all to themselves and they were over the moon with their quarters. The host is very responsive and kind and the housekeeper is also amazing. We would definitely come back to the Salt Box!

The home was lovely! It was perfect for our Bahamas visit. We were 4 adults & 2 children and we all had plenty of space and accommodations. The backyard and pool was perfect for the kids. The kitchen felt like traveling back in time and was so fun. The home provided all the essentials, even beach hats, beach totes, & a small bar. The host left water for us & a few items in the fridge, including sodas & mixers. The home was a five minute walk to the beach or Valentines Hotel. It was central and easy. We hope to return next year.

The Saltbox is a stunning and secluded property in town. It’s an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. The home is beautifully decorated with old island charm and modern conveniences. It’s incredibly comfortable for large groups or families.

This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. The house is beautifully decorated and the landscaping is gorgeous. It had everything we could need and more. The location is right in the middle of everything and the host and staff were incredibly helpful and kind. We highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Salt Box is everything and more! Cozy, spacious and every bit of homey. Its a perfect compliment to/extension of the interior design draw of Harbour Island. Its so lovely you find yourself wanting to be there as much as you want to be exploring the island. The owner, house manager, & gardener were all wonderful and so helpful! Highly recommend and can't wait to return and stay here again!
