Luxury Thatch Cottage

Tucked away in the quaint village of Ballyduffmore, County Waterford, lies this wonderful, three-bedroom thatched holiday cottage, Hailey's Haven.

Perfect for families or sharing friends, this property boasts a wealth of on-site amenities, stunning countryside views, and well-preserved, rustic interiors that provide an idyllic setting for a relaxing rural getaway.

Inside, be sure to make full-use of a well-equipped kitchen, where the designated chef can rustle up hearty, home-cooked meals for the whole group, to be enjoyed in either the living/dining room or the plush sitting room, both rooms accompanied by their own centrepiece fireplaces.

As the evenings grow darker, retire to one of three tastefully-decorated bedrooms that lie waiting to whisk you off to a night's refreshing slumber.

After you've savoured your morning coffee whilst soaking in the natural scenery in the outdoor garden space, be sure to explore your local surroundings by paying a visit to the West Waterford Golf Club to practice your golf swing before booking a table at the Copper Buoy Bistro & Winebar in nearby Dungarvan.

The historic town of Lismore is a short drive east, where you can find the grand site of Lismore Castle or take a tranquil stroll in nature along Lady Louisa's Walk.

The seaside resort town of Youghal is also accessible by car, home to the lush sands of Youghal Beach and the landmark of Youghal Clock Gate Tower.

If you want to make a day of it, the city of Cork is well-worth your time, full of numerous iconic locations such as St Patrick's Bridge, Elizabeth Fort, and Red Abbey Tower, as well as the quirky Butter Museum.

Què li ha agradat: Neteja
This old cottage has been lovingly restored and decorated by a lovely young couple. The house is spacious and light. We had some technical issues with internet and the dryer but Niamh and Conor were quick to respond and find solutions. A few small issues could be improved: the bunk bed and one of the double beds creaked, the bathroom could do with some extra towel hooks and storage shelves for toiletries and we missed tables with the sofas. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this cottage.
