"Grandfather's Landing was the best experience my family has had with a VRBO property. Francis was a gracious host. You meet him at his home on the Ontario side of the river. A 10 minute pontoon ride kater you are on the island in the middle of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The island had all the toys the kids needed to stay on the water for hours. The property was relaxing. We used the gazebo to watch the big ships go by in the channel. Francis was nice enough to shuttle us back to shore so we could...

"My two daughters and I stayed for 2 nights. Fantastic location and plenty of room for the three of us. The manager was very helpful and prompt with a power issue. A breaker needed to be reset and this was done in under 5 minutes. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again. "

"The property itself on the inside was very clean and fresh. It is in a poor area of town but we always felt safe."

"Like that it was a short drive to Lancaster which has quaint little shops and local town restaurants. The Cooper Marsh is a short drive away; it has nice walking trails. The cottage is across the street from the St Lawrence river but there was no direct access to water nearby for swimming or soaking feet within walking distance."

"We had an excellent stay at this property, which is quiet and surrounded by nature. We enjoyed swimming in the pond and walking the nearby trails, as well as the honey and eggs provided by the host."

"All at site was excellent. Due to the intense heat in Cornwall, air conditioning was very efficient, so much so that it was very chilly during our stay. The owner was VERY RESPONSIVE to trying to meet our needs and attempted to adjust temperature to our satisfaction. We were very impressed on his responsiveness. We will certainly consider this vendor again when in the Cornwall area."
