    Full of old-world charm, this lakefront property is tucked into the hillside on the southwestern shores of Seneca Lake, mere minutes from Watkins Glen. Enjoy 150 feet of shale waterfront, a dock with a motorized boat lift, kayaks, a canoe and a rowboat to take out on the water. Admire the view on covered porches and take soothing soaks in the private hot tub. An outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplaces to add warmth and comfort to your next Finger Lakes escape.



    The Space:

    This hillside home sits on the southwestern shores of Seneca Lake, close to excellent wine tasting and wine tours along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Launch your personal watercraft at the public boat launch at Severne Point (eight miles north), hit the local hiking trails, and view the spectacular waterfalls in the area. Book a sailing trip with Schooner Excursions (nine miles south), and spend an afternoon at Tabora Farm and Winery (two miles north).



    THINGS TO KNOW

    The boat ramp is for rental ($250 per stay). It can hold up to 3600 lbs and is 113' wide.

    Parts of this home are air-conditioned. This home does not have central air conditioning.

Comfy, quirky cabin

What a lovely, secluded, and quiet spot - even on the 4th of July. The AC was perfection on some seriously sweltering days. We loved the easy access to the water AND some top notch vineyards. We had a delightful stay and can’t wait to return next summer for an even longer stay!

Property was beautiful and the location was amazing. House needs some upkeep, maintenance and a deep cleaning. Overall, because of the location and view, the stay was still great.

Charming Lake Paradise

We loved the rustic cabin feel and old time charm of Belle's, which offered ample sitting and viewing areas for nature's wonders and spectacular gardens and sunrises over the lake! The furniture was very comfortable. We enjoyed boating and swimming in the lake and hot tub. We were thrilled by the raging Glenora Falls up the road and enamored by the beautiful, less robust waterfall at Belle's (across the road behind the trash bins), which fed into a little fall on Belle's beach. We were lucky enough to see a family of otters by the beach. We also spotted a large male silk moth that looked like a dead leaf. The spiders made beautiful webs in the gardens which glistened in the sunlight.

Charming place. Could use some updates and a good power wash. There were dead bugs scattered all over, and a few spiders creeping around. Hot tub was fabulous after a long day of hiking. Great view of the lake.

Rustic Cabin

The cabin is right on the lake and the view is amazing. We watched all of the weather (and it came in many forms) and it was impressive.

Belle's Buttercup Fall 2024

My friends and I really enjoyed this location. This place had everything we needed and more. The setting was beautiful and we found the older house to be quirky but fun.

Beautiful cabin with so much space

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. This cabin has everything, multiple rooms, view and access to lake Seneca, and accessible to many wineries. I wish we spent more time at the cabin to enjoy it to the fullest. We would highly recommend this location to our friends and family.

Hidden oasis

We had a wonderful time. Very peaceful retreat tucked into scenic nature and surrounded by waterfalls. Kitchen and bathrooms were updated thoughtfully and we greatly appreciated the dog friendly amenities. The hot tub was a killer bonus! Highly recommended for nature lovers who appreciate a quiet and lovely experience.

Great outdoor space, house is comfortable but dated (pics displayed are good representation). Easy access to Watkins Glen. I would stay here again!

Buttercup house on the lake

Rustic home on Lake Seneca. Was just wife and I but plenty of room for larger families or groups. Close to all the vineyards. In warmer months the house has its own boats/kayaks that can be used. Nice hot tub to relax in at the end of the day with great view of the lake!

Beautiful location, cool house!

Great place needs a good cleaning. Perfect amount of space for everybody that we had glad they allow dogs like was beautiful. Doc was great nice fire pit. Nice hot tub would rent it again.

Rustic home on Seneca Lake

Nice views and lots of space for a large group to enjoy time at the lake. Many beds to choose from on two different levels and modern appliances. The interior of the cottage is rustic but clean and feels like your stepping back in time.

Quirky old cabin

Once we got used to all the spiders and cobwebs we had a great time. This cabin has a lot of stairs but the view from the deck is spectacular

Cool days at Seneca Lake

The home was comfortable even though the weather was not with fireplaces in the lower bedroom and family space. The views were spectacular especially when the sun finally came out.

We love Belle's Buttercup!

Whether enjoying a morning cup of coffee watching the sun rise over Seneca or a glass of wine as the sun sets, nothing beats the beautiful views from this house. A private dock with a fire pit provides the perfect setting for vacation relaxing, and the house is large and private with every amenity a family could want. We come back every year!
