"We had a wonderful stay in San Ignacio at the Babette House. The house and the grounds were beautiful and clean and had all the amenities except access to washer and dryer. Plenty of room for a group of 9. House had everything we needed and what we ran out of we got at the market close by. Maybe needs more towels but not a big problem if you brought your own. "The property is a 5-6 minute walk to downtown so easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. This includes Maya Walk so getting there for caving and ruins tours was easy. Far enough away to avoid the noise. Host was responsive. It was a little confusing to get the TV to work so i could watch the Super Bowl but we eventually got there. No regrets. "

"Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge...

"We were the only rental in this little village. It is located on a gravel roads near a run-down park. The kids enjoyed playing there and met some nice kids they played with. This house was perfect. It was so clean, had great A/C and a beautiful shower with the best water pressure we’ve had on our trip so far. There is one small frying pan - we could have used another. And no butter knives - but otherwise was well equipped! We would definitely recommend."
