"Very friendly staff. Rooms nice, beds really comfortable. Lovely breakfast area and lounge. Two pubs across the road as a change for evening meals as only booked B&B. We were there on a very hot week but had aircon in rooms. Large free car park which is a bonus round York. Bus services along the main road are frequent. No4 from outside Cross Keys pub takes you into centre which is only 1 and half miles. Would definitely stay again if visiting York. "

"Modern, fresh, well maintained hotel. Clean, quiet, spacious rooms with plenty of charging stations and outlets. Super nice bath with massive soaking tub. Excellent on-site restaurant. What is most noteworthy is the very professional, well trained and delightful staff in both the hotel and the restaurant! Would stay at Sandburn Hall again and would recommend it to a friend. "

"We had a lovely stay here. The staff were wonderful and accommating, gave us tips on places and restaurants to go to. Its only a short walk to the centre and to the riverside - extremely convenient. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options and fresh bread each morning - 3 different kinds! Downsides - The walls were thin and on our last night we could hear the room next to us snoring. Also we had a problem with parking where all spaces were taken due to an event so we had to drive out of...

"Lots of characture in this small hotel. Stayed in the annex which is within the building and satisfactory. Had all that was required for a shrot stay. One drawback during our stay the weather was hot and no air conditioning other than a fan. It would have been nicer to have airconditioning. Also there was limited room for evening dining but plenty venues within 5 minutes in the town."
