The resort was beautiful and all the employees where friendly and did everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy. When we go back to San Ignacio we will be staying at this resort again. "I had the pleasure of staying at the Mystic River Resort in Early June and the whole experience has made me fall in love with Belize. The property is immaculately maintained and incredibly clean, my room was upgraded free of charge which included a plunge pool on the balcony which definitely added to the experience !. "The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was great. The property's jungle setting and landscaping made me feel like I was in a jungle. And while not a nightly occurrence, having howler monkeys howling the first evening really set the tone to remind me I wasn't in California. A special callout to the staff at Fiona's restaurant, the food was great, but talking with the staff there was super fun. I would recommend Maya Mountain Lodge to anyone and everyone."

"The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. "

"The property was much newer and hence in a better shape than the other hotel in the area. The place is well located bang in the center of the town with easy access to everything. The aircon was good, there is a fridge in the room and there is a rooftop pool. There is also a microwave and coffee in the common area The negative is that no breakfast is served.
