"The hosts were welcoming and friendly. My room clean and comfortable. If you wanted to walk it was approx 5-10 mins from the town center so accessiblity to shops, pubs , restaurants etc was reasonable. Many thanks "

"Dtaff were very helpful and friendly. Late check out was offered if i signed up into the group which was free. The only drawback os the the bar closing at 11 when we landed quite a lot later than that. Otherwise 5/5 "

"Very historic place which dates back to the 1500's . The character of the property has been largely kept, this does include sloping floor in the bedroom."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had found the hotel based on searching for somewhere we hadn’t been before. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was lovely to be able to walk around the grounds in the evening. While there isn’t a great deal to do in Ware, Scott’s Grotto (only open Saturday afternoon) and Hatfield House (30 minutes drive away) are both worth a visit. Thank you to all who made it an enjoyable weekend away for our family."

"Beyond the exquisitely accommodating staff was a community that took us in and made us feel welcome. You would not believe the true tales of generosity so we won’t share them. "Loved the place , it was lovely and clean. The staff was all very polite. Only thing for us was there was a wedding there the next day and we felt out of place as they took over the whole hotel so we stayed in our room as we felt out of place. We didn’t have evening meal there for this reason. Next day we also waited as late as possible to have our breakfast as the whole dining room was full of the wedding party. "

"Room was just as advertised and had everything we needed - except hair conditioner. Easy and helpful check-in staff. Clean. The collection of buildings were absolutely stunningly cute and well-maintained, especially for the age, and nice explorable grounds. Not much open in the area or walkable past evening time. Quick cab ride to Stanstead. Beds a bit on the short size, rooms could use fans in the summer. Opening the windows was an option but we were on the road side which was surprisingly...
