"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

However if you’re going to run a contactless business you should find a better route to conflict resolution than calling your guests and accusing them of smoking pot in your rooms. I was headed to dinner for Valentines Day when someone called, representing the hotel, and said a strong smell of marijuanna was reported coming from my room. "The bathtub needs some kind of bath mat or something non stick inside tub! Thank goodness for the handles cause that’s what saved me from falling all the way into the tub because the bottom of tub was so slick!! Not a good thing for someone that just got a total knee replacement three months ago!! Do Better!! The shower curtain was ripped! Very tacky! Breakfast had nice choices! "

"I stay almost exclusively at Hampton Inns because thr beds are always so comfortable with lots of big, super comfy pillows. Not this one! The room we got was so tiny that there was barely any room to move around the bed and we both ended up whacking our chin on the corner several times. The bed was awful and noisy. The pillows were small and lumpy.
Very disappointed.
Everything else was up to par for Hampyon Inns. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was full of variety with many healthy...
