Sky Valley Mountain Cabin

Newly renovated round home nestled in the trees. This home has a 360 degree wrap around deck. There are views of the trees from all rooms. This cabin is farmhouse chic. You will find all new furniture including outside patio seating. We are in the Sky Valley Resort and Country Club where you can enjoy golf, swimming, the exercise room, picnic pavilion, hot tub, whirlpool and sauna. We are located with easy access from the road and ample driveway parking. The quiet, serene setting is sure to please you! Close proximity to hiking, zip lining, waterfalls, fishing, antiquing, wineries, shopping, restaurants, gem mining and more!
For your safety we have two Ring cameras outside on the perimeter of the property.

A magical home base for our mountain adventureFrom the moment we pulled up, we knew we were in for something special. The house itself was a perfect blend of cozy comfort and modern convenience—exactly as described in the listing, and somehow even more charming in person. The floorplan worked beautifully for our family, offering everyone enough space to relax without ever feeling disconnected.The location is truly spectacular—feels secluded and peaceful, yet all the best attractions of North Georgia are just a quick drive away. We took full advantage, making our annual trek up Rabun Bald via Beegum Gap—the views up there never disappoint! Exploring the nearby mountain towns for coffee and local shops added even more to our getaway.Back at the property, the amenities made it so easy to unwind. Each day we enjoyed the pool, gym, and sauna—such a treat to have these facilities within arm’s reach, especially after long hikes.One of our favorite rituals became sipping coffee out on the spacious wrap-around deck every morning, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest—it felt like living among the treetops! It reminded us of the Ewoks on Endor (minus the storm troopers).Thank you to our hosts for creating such a welcoming retreat.

Charming cabin in the woods

Very nice place. Very clean and charming. Owners go above and beyond to supply everything you might need or want. Good communication with the owners. A blue binder is provided with suggestions of things to do in and around Sky Valley as well as places to eat. Very informative and helpful.

June Getaway

We loved the cabin in the treetops. Debi was great with communication. We had zero problems. Such a cute cabin. Zero steps which is great for mom. Plenty of deck space for bird watching. Not too fancy for us but not too rustic either. Would love to come back again. We've been coming to this area for over 30 years. Mud Creek Falls was especially cool and easily accessible by all.

Great retreat

For years, my wife and I stayed in cabins inside Sky Valley resort through my parents time share. No more time share but we still love the area so finding this cabin was great. This cabin, however, is beautifully decorated and far more comfortable than what we have stayed in over the last 20+ years. Great views, very peaceful and relaxing. Being 20 mins away from Dillard or Highlands is a huge bonus. Highly recommend!!

Great cabin for two people

This small cabin was ideal for me and my husband, although it has two bedrooms and could easily accommodate a small family or two couples. The location was perfect, close to the trails we wanted to hike and easy to get to. We will definitely want to rent it again!

Our pastor and wife stayed at your home and they said it was perfect !you provided a welcome basket of snacks and they said they had everything they needed and loved staying there ! It was very close to our wedding venue “ The Vineyard at High Holly “, which was so convenient !

Close to Hiking

This was my second visit - love the area and round house and is a drive/plane to so many neat places while being a bit remote. The house has taken on wear which is is unfortunate and there aren’t things for activities like tennis rackets or hiking poles, which would be super awesome for visitors especially those flying. It’s close to a lot of neat opportunities like the Smokies and AT, but felt like the second time the place didn’t have the same love it did the first. The bed frame is too large and as such will cripple you in the night if not careful and the focus seems to be on decorations which on high wind nights will fly around and scare you to death and the patio is extremely slippery especially in low light as there is not much and we were unable to remedy when contacting host for assistance. It’s a big ask to have to find your way to the trash especially on early departures - thankfully on-site security directed us- so while rustic and nice if you want to be somewhere without cell service and correspondence and have a deck of cards it’s great - otherwise I’d recommend a different area because the initial appeal that was once there did not repeat itself. Also, most of the information in the book that is referenced is outdated with many of the businesses/restaurants close being either closed unfortunately due to COVID or extremely seasonal. Appreciate that the owner had put a lot into the place but for a vacation or long weekend the obstacles created on this occasion made the trip less desirable at this property.

Very lovely home

I give high praise to our Host. They are so detailed oriented, and keen on having open solid communication. The home, amenities, location was perfect! They even decorated for St. Patty's weekend. It was so cute. The home set in a treehouse setting was amazing, it was everything we were looking for. We will be returning.

Cozy getaway

We rented this home at the last minute to get away for the weekend and celebrate a family members birthday . It was perfect . I felt like we were in a treehouse and we had snow which we were not expecting . Remote but In close proximity to shopping and dining. This home is perfect for 2 couples . Cozy and very clean. The owners provided all information in a timely manner and responded promptly to any questions or concerns We plan to book again in the future .

Weekend Get-A-Way

We were looking for a place to enjoy a long weekend and Debi and Gary's place didn't disappoint. It is nestled in the woods away from the city, but still close enough if you would like to get out and enjoy a meal out. The owners have the house decorated very nice and it is very warm and cozy. The wrap around porch allows you to enjoy nature and just unwind. We were looking to do some hiking the weekend and there were 3-4 trails within less than 5 miles nearby. We will definitely consider this place in the future when we want to get out and explore North Georiga.

Accurate Listing - Lovely Woodland Abode!

The photos and description were very accurate to what I found when I arrived to the property. It was beautiful, welcoming, and cozy. Lots of thoughtful touches and on-theme tchotchkes everywhere. Very easy check-in & check-out. Great communication from the host. The wrap-around deck was the best! The parking spot was very convenient, well-located, and spacious. There were no real fires (for the fireplace or outdoor firepit), but the electric spaceheater faux fires did the job. All the rooms felt spacious enough and had everything they needed. Very comfortable and hospitable. Would definitely stay here again. :-)

Cozy and Quiet

This was a special place located next to nothing and close to everything. The owners were amazing with all the information they left. Loved the welcome basket and had the best time. Have recommended it to all my friends.
