The Space:
Bayview Paradise by Tiny Away sits in the serene and scenic Diamond Harbour on the Banks Peninsula, South Island New Zealand. We're just 1.4 km from Charteris Bay, 2.2 km from the scenic Stoddart Point Reserve, and only 29.1 km from Christchurch. Where hidden gems await, from the natural beauty of Orton Bradley Park, the stunning views along the Mt Herbert Walkway, to the quaint charm of Diamond Harbour Wharf – all just a short drive away.

A comfortable 139 square foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home, but access to the rear paddock is off-limits due to a Land Lease and Fall Hazards. We ask that you take care and refrain from entering this area.

The stay is child-friendly with adult supervision required. Do make sure children remain on the property and avoid the rear paddock.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We have two medium-to-large dogs who are friendly, and young children on the property.

Bayview Paradise by Tiny Away is located in the small town of Diamond Harbour on the Banks Peninsula, South Island, New Zealand. The tiny home is 1.4 km from Charteris Bay, 2.2 km from the beautiful Stoddart Point Reserve, and a short 29.1 km drive from Christchurch. Purau Beach, Diamond Harbour Wharf, Mt Herbert Walkway, and Orton Bradley Park are top outdoor spots in the area. Families will enjoy the Kids Playground, while Charteris Bay Golf Club offers a peaceful round of golf.

Local convenience and transport options include Four Square Diamond Harbour and the Black Cat Diamond Harbour Ferry Service. For food and drink, check out Diamond Harbour Eatery & Bar, Salt (Fish and Chips), Two Thumb Brewing Co., and the historic Stoddart Cottage.

Getting Around:
By car:

- From Christchurch, 50 minutes, 30 km, and tothe nearest towns, 50 minutes, 30 km
- Is it reachable by 2WD

By public transport:

- We recommend guests travel by car.
- Bus and boat, and walk up hill around 25 minutes.
- Black Cat Diamond Harbor Ferry service is located at the Diamond Harbor jetty. Trip to Lyttleton for more food and drink offerings. Refer to the website for the timetable.

Other Things to Note:
- No WiFi available
- BBQ grill is not available
- Drinking water is available
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking inside the tiny home, except in designated areas
- Mobile phone reception is good for Vodafone, 2degrees, & Spark, while no signals from others
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note:

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
