"It is a perfect place to sense of small-town New York. And just across the road there is a short walk to Schroon Lake which is marvellous as it is lined by trees that are close to 100 feet high. Beautiful lake view with a small, sandy beach. Owners are delightful to speak with. Very pleasant experience."

"I booked through Expedia (VRBO) and the room we were assigned was incorrect due to a mistake by the booking sight ( we were assigned a 1 bedroom instead of a two bedroom). The owner had us in a new unit at no extra charge ($100/night difference) within 5 minutes. Awesome customer service!!!"

"The cottage was very clean, and the property itself is beautiful. It is a peaceful spot on the lake and a nice place to relax. However, there were a few aspects of the listing that were somewhat misleading during our stay. The 2nd bedroom is actually an open loft, so there is very little privacy for anyone staying upstairs. Also, the kitchen sink has extremely low water pressure, which made washing dishes difficult.Parking was also a little odd. The one parking space is located very close to the...

"Quiet, comfortable home. My only complaint about check-in was that Vacasa changed the entry code so we had some difficulty getting in. My complaint about the home is that there was mouse droppings all over the kitchen — on dining table, on kitchen counters, even in the coffee pot. Ugh."
