"Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. "A great place to stay. We just had a single night there before flying out of Dominica, but it was perfect. Nigel was very helpful and his dog Spice was gorgeous! We had a relaxing couple of beers and then some good food before an early night (as it was an early flight to Barbados)."

"We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem."

"I totally enjoyed my stay at Mangoes. The owner was very accommodating, pleasant and very customer oriented. My trip was a business trip, it is 25mins to Roseau but after a hectic day at the office Mangoes was ideal for relaxing. There are lots of mosquitoes but that is expected with the location but a huge net covers the bed and I had lots of bug spray. There is not much to do in St Joseph so having a vehicle is recommended unless you are happy remaining on the compound. If I ever return, this...
