"The house is in a beautiful spot, looking out over a verdant manicured lawn sloping down to the jungle and then ultimately out to the ocean far below. Monkeys visit the property daily. It is up a long single track road that climbs up the mountain above the Golden Rock hotel. The house itself has a big wide wrap-around porch, and open doors that let the breeze through. "The room was clean and well maintained during our stay. The property is a bit old and dated but comfortable enough. There are two pools and both have unusual layouts where you are not really able to sit by the pool to socialize or to watch your children if you have children with you. Only one of the pools have chairs at all and they are located on a "sun deck" on one side of the pool that is not visible from the part of the pool where you swim. "this is the most spectacular but understated resort. Noreen and Christina took care of our every need. Food was excellent The view is worth a million and you can enjoy it from the room dining on the terrace or swimming in the pool "

"The owners and staff were awesome. They took time to get to know us and were so welcoming and helpful with anything we needed. They gave us info about how to get around and offered to organize things for us. The property was unique and the individual cottages were amazing. Be aware though, there’s no AC. It didn’t bother us but might be a deal breaker for some. We will absolutely be back! "

When I arrived the reception was closed from after 4pm or 5pm. my flight landed 7:40pm. The entrance gate was closed I had to open it on my own.
