"The staff at this property were extremely nice and friendly. The journey from Kigali however was stressful. I recommend renting a jeep or a car with high tires as the roads leading to the accommodation are bad. "

"Very nice lost place. But you have to write explecid that you have a safe route to the hotel with the car and maybe you put it on your hotel description because the GPS shows very bad roads if you don'r know it. Bute without this it's really a beautiful place. "

"The views are great However Two of the three rooms had stuffed drains in the bathrooms that caused flooding on the floor. The staff left the key for one of rooms that they had to rearrange to seperate beds upon arrival locked in another room causing the teens to have to wait along time To get into their room. The service for towels and room arrangements was slow And the bathrooms need maintenance and updates "

"A clean, spacious room with a balcony and good view. Helpful staff. Good restaurant. Good location. The website listed air con. There is no air con, but with a fan i was quite comfortable. "

"This was a very nice hotel, and we enjoyed our stay there in our days in Kibuye. Friendly and welcomming staff, a wonderful view from the balcony and good food. Would recommend it for future guest planning to stay around lake Kivu. From there they also provide different trips around the lake such as rent of bikes, boattrips to Islands and hikes."

"Very good value for a well located place to stay, 5 minutes walk to the lakeside where you can easily pick up aboat tour. Friendly management. Small but nice selection ofcrafts on sale at the reception. Recommended. "

"Wonderful! The view is unstoppable, the staff are beyond polite and helpful, the Lake Kivu fish dinner was delightful, and everything was comfy and clean. There was even stellar wifi. Thank you for hosting me, Macheo. I look forward to visiting again."

"Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Ausblick. Empfehlung: Die Organisation der Touren sollte nur eine Person in die Hand nehmen. Da kamen zu viele, die sich mit dem selben Namen vorgestellt haben und behaupteten, sie arbeiten mit Macheoecolodge zusammen. Das war undurchsichtig. -> Da kann aber dort keiner was dafür. Sollte nur vom Management zum Schutz der Gäste beobachtet werden. Ansonsten ist es eine Reise wert und besonders!"
