"If you want to camp and have a camping experience, then this is the perfect spot! Lots of animals to see between the owner's horses and cats. The kitchen and bathroom are both shared spaces, not with the owners, but with the multiple other cabins on the property. So you are not super secluded from other people. We went in October, and the outdoor shower did not have hot water, so it was a rather cold shower. Holly, the owner, did say that they are going to replace the water heater soon, but...

"We stayed for the night for our 11th wedding anniversary. Holly is an amazing host, as soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed and given a tour of Cowboy town along with how it came to be. Then shown our cabin which was so beautiful. It was quiet and private, there was a wedding the next day and even the preparation for that did not interfere with our stay. We will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice private escape. Thank you Holly"

"Kitchen is nice and very well lit, although there is only seating for four (and no dining room). One other minor thing: one light fixture hangs fairly low, so anyone taller than 6 feet needs to watch out."

"Hotels are in short supply in Hillsdale, and for just a few dollars more we got a WHOLE HOUSE! This cottage was cozy and the decor was charming. I hope we can stay here again!"

"Beautiful rural setting; peaceful; the condition of the property was very good ; loved the lake view sunrise from the screen porch with the blue ceiling—nice touch; we were busy from sun up to sun down at Hillsdale College so we didn’t get to spend much time at your cozy, up to remodel; great kitchen; looking forward to our next stay; location is very close for events at the John Halter Shooting sports center .Thank you"
