"Secure in-compound parking with electronic gates/openers provided, for a small (reasonable) fee for peace of mind. We loved the apartment unit we had on the front half of the property (called Brighton Beach building). Very easy to walk across the street and be at the tidal pool. We went for a swim every morning and loved having dinner at the various restaurants along the beach, which were delicious and also reasonably priced. "We loved our stay at Doorn Kraal. Firstly the staff are lovely and so professional. Our room (the 2 bedroom cottage) was super neat and tidy, and it had everything we needed and it was very quiet as it’s a bit further away. Just be mindful at night, there may be one or two spiders in the trees when you walk to the cottage (have a flashlight). The food was soo delicious, we could not stop thinking about the wonderful dinner. We will stay again. Thanks to all the staff! "

"This property was a total disaster. It was advertised as having air con. No restrictions. We get there and were told there is no air con from 10pm to 10am. I would never have booked the place without air con. We were told to leave the windows open and were eaten alive by bugs all night. Spoke to the owners and were told ok we would be able to use the air con the following day. Guess what… next day all of a sudden the air con “doesn’t work” may be a day or two until it’s fixed.
