"Have known this hotel for a number of years and it was one of the best in the area but now needing a facelift without spoiling its design. "Check in was easy, friendly staff, room decor was lovely, clean bedding. Parking was perfect and surroundings are beautiful. Had a beautiful breakfast too. Only negative was quite a few wood louse running round the bathroom, kept slippers on but may put you off if squeamish."

"I stay at the R&F frequently when visiting family back home in Barnstaple. The hotel is lovely and staff fantastic and I truly don’t have any issues at all. My recent stay however was totally ruined by the position/allocation of the room, which I stress is nobody’s fault, however I did experience a terrible night of deprived sleep which isn’t acceptable.
