"Pleasant welcome & clean room. Negatives: Tiny tv English Bfast poor quality ingredients 10.30am booking out not acceptable ..particularly when paying £493 for 3 nights & then having to pay an extra £25 to book out at 12. A shame because staff all very friendly but obviously let down by greedy owners."

"Uniqueness.. - the peak distinct and Lake District are near by. There is a glass elevator at this place - it reminded me of some Roal Dhal’s stories 📚 🎼📖📙. Many of the staff members were helpful, particularly on reception & the restaurant staff on this visit :) Cleanliness was not the best though, the toilets on the main floor and the conference area were not great. :( .. The leisure centre did not open at the times stated. Overall this accommodation was great, the restaurant is lovely...

"The Leonardo EMA is a well placed hotel, however we found the decor and general demeanour of the hotel to be very tired. No lifts that we could see. Our room was nice enough, but had only been superficially cleaned. The mirror had not been cleaned. Bed was very comfy though. Bathroom showed signs of wear with the odd little bit of black mould and other areas that could have been better scrubbed. I found a rusty screw by the base of the toilet. Shower was over the bath with a shower curtain,...

"Hotel was good overall well located for access to Derby center. The hotel car park is very small so thankfully you have the option of a multistory across the road which if you get the hotel to check you ticket is very cheap to use. Breakfast was buffet style and not too bad."

"A little gem that we will definitely return to. Rooms were finished to a high quality - not just style over substance. Beds comfy, shower amazing, hot tub fab and one of the best nights sleep for a while. Paired with excellent food and service at Bowling Green Inn, would highly recommend 👍"

"The property is very modern, wellmaintained and the staff are helpful. It is in a convenient location close to the train station and a 10 to 15 minute walk to the town centre. There is also a bus service from the train station. The area is quiet. There is a good buffet breakfast."

"A large and impressive hotel with great facilities. Unfortunately, we found the bed in our deluxe room uncomfortable and creaky and the room lacked basics such as milk and cold water. The food and drinks were delicious however, and we enjoyed the pool."

"My stay at Horsley Lodge was fantastic. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left the staff were outstanding . I stayed in the Barn cottage and I cannot recommend it highly enough, the same goes for the food that comes out of their kitchen. I have already started to recommend Horsley Lodge to my friends and family."

"No air conditioner in room. Just a desk fan, on days where it was in the mid 20s outside. No lift to upper floor, just a spiral staircase! No working extractor fan in bathroom. You are lead to believe it's free parking only to be charged £5 a night as soon as you check in ! The mattress was very firm as well."

"The linen and room was clean and comfortable but there was an awful smell of drains that did not go away. The fridge had not been emptied, there was half a sandwich and a bottle of water in there. The hotel seemed clean but needs a little tlc. We paid £50 which we don't think is extortionate but for what we got it could have been a little cheaper."

"The property is bit outdated but its is well maintained for its age. Staff is very mannered , courteous and kind , the manager at our checkout was very customer focused and this leadership reflected well in the staff. We ordered room service and the food was awesome. Breakfast had many choices with pancakes and waffles etc. Swimming pool was very clean and thier is a tennis table in lobby, overall 5 star service thank you"

"I really enjoyed my stay here. Its perfect if you are working away etc. Spacious accommodation with a nice shower and you can park right outside your chalet. I had a great night's sleep. No complaints"

"The gym was exceptional for a spa hotel and the breakfast was very pleasant however we did find that the hotel itself was quite dated and the rooms were in need of a bit of updating. The bathroom especially could use some modernization."
