"Overlooking the sea. Excellent breakfast, best thing about the hotel. Last stayed at this hotel three years ago. Since then we noticed a big change in the hotel, especially the decoration and prices in the bar. Had a latte and half a pint of beer, cost £9.00 in cash!!!!! Was it pocketed or was I charged for one pint instead of half a pint?"

"My friend and I had a girlie two night break at this hotel and loved it. When we arrived the receptionist noticed I was using a walking aid and unprompted started looking to change our room to an accessible room eliminating needing to use stairs. We were very touched by his thoughtfulness. It was an upgrade to a suite which was outstanding and it really enhanced our comfort and experience. "Some refurbishment going on but this did not interfere with our stay. The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal. The bar was well stocked and a marvelous selection of spirits. The room was very well maintained and comfortable. "

"Stopped over on cleveland way. Had a long hot day and was ready to get feet up. Got sorted on arrival quickly and settled. Had a good meal especially the tomato soup. Slight hiccup with breakfast arrangement but got resolved quickly, would recommend a stopover."

"The room was clean but needs updating , the window would not shut and the wind was whistling through the window , reception there was a bell on the wall pressed that quiet a few times no body came , saw other guests and asked them there was a ring doorbell type round the corner spoke to a chap he told what for key safe but because quite def couldn’t understand him finally got to my room after about 1 hr , the only good thing I can say the location good "

"Misleading information from staff ruined what should have been a simple experience. We were told at reception that our voucher could be used for afternoon tea, then showed it again in the lounge before ordering and were seated without issue. Only at payment were we told it didn’t apply and charged full price, which feels completely unacceptable.
